How do you guys manage to get so many invites? Is it based on the amout of mail you send/recieve?

Well, once you start getting invites, you get 5 every other day, or so it seems. However, we have no idea what determines how you get the first invites, and I doubt anybody will before Google makes this system public. We've speculated about account activity and such, but some people who barely use their account get invites within a day, and others who use it a lot (or spam themselves from other accounts all day long :p ) still haven't gotten invites. Also, some people have multiple Gmail accounts, so they can give out a lot of invites.

lol, ok. Thats fair enuff then.

Well I just mean the google email system isn't exactly 100% stable, which is why it is still in its beta testing stage. Why would the troops want to use an expermental system to communicate with their familys, loved ones etc. Why not just use their .mil accounts or any other stable system.

They probably want it for the large storage capacity. It helps with sending pictures (My guess).

How do you know when you get invites?

do they come as mail?

had a account for about 3 days and not seen any invutes to give out

If you do not see the invitation link, that means that we are unable to provide you with additional invitations at this time.

To invite someone, click on the 'Invite a friend to join Gmail!' link in your inbox. You will then be asked to provide an email address and a personalized message to your invitee.

The person you invite will be sent a message that includes a link to join Gmail. That registration link will be valid for three weeks and can be used to create only one account.

That's all, no more invites from me :(

How do you like the comments that greet you?

Inbox (When Empty): No new mail! There's always Google News if you're looking for something to read!

Starred (When Empty): (Well, it doesn't say anything clever, so screw him)

Sent Mail (When Empty): No sent messages! Send one now!

All Mail (When Empty): You don't have any mail! Our servers are feeling unloved (My favorite...)

Spam (When Empty): Hooray, no spam here!

Trash (When, well, you know): No conversations in the trash. Whoo needs to delete when you have 1000 MB of storage?!

    • VidCoder 12.20 by Razvan Serea VidCoder is a DVD/Blu-ray ripping and video transcoding application for Windows. It uses HandBrake as its encoding engine. Calling directly into the HandBrake library gives it a more rich UI than the official HandBrake Windows GUI. VidCoder can rip DVDs but does not defeat the CSS encryption found in most commercial DVDs. You’ll need the NET 8 Desktop Runtime. If you don’t have it, VidCoder will prompt you to download and install it. The Portable version is self-contained and does not require any .NET Runtime to be installed. You do not need to install HandBrake for VidCoder to work. Feature list: Multi-threaded MP4, MKV containers Completely integrated encoding pipeline: everything is in one process and no huge intermediate temporary files H.264, H.265, MPEG-4, MPEG-2, VP8, Theora video Hardware-accelerated encoding with AMD VCE, Nvidia NVENC and Intel QuickSync AAC, MP3, Vorbis, AC3, FLAC audio encoding and AAC/AC3/MP3/DTS/DTS-HD passthrough Target bitrate, size or quality for video 2-pass encoding Decomb, detelecine, deinterlace, rotate, reflect, chroma smooth, colorspace filters Powerful batch encoding with simultaneous encodes Customizable Pickers to automatically pick audio and subtitle tracks, destination, titles and more Instant source previews Creates small encoded preview clips Pause, resume encoding VidCoder 12.20 changes: Updated HandBrake core to 1.11.2. • Too soon, I'm still not over this death!
    • Normally, I admit when a title is clickbait (unfortunately, it's become somewhat necessary to compete against AI-dominated news sections today), but in this case, all supported versions is implied and doesn't need to be spelled out in the title. Of course, I'm covering a Patch Tuesday update bug that is only available to supported Windows SKUs. All our coverage relates to supported Windows software and SKUs only unless we expressly state that it's "unsupported", "unofficial", or "third-party". I'm sorry, but supported/official SKUs don't need to be spelled out as such in every Neowin headline.
    • ALL versions or ALL SUPPORTED versions? Neowin does it again.
