Learning Delphi

Right, about to start learning delphi in college but of course their current provisions are considerably less than adequate. So, I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good starter book and compiler, erm... just everything to get us started really. :huh:

Yeah, thanks :) But my college has now decided to make us do VB instead.

I like Delphi. I used to use it a lot about seven years ago. It is a great way to learn programming.

OK, delphi's off. I think I'll start a similar thread on vb... because that's what we're going to have to use.
