iPod for Mac only?

Is the iPod for mac only or can it be used on a PC also? I saw on the apple site that a mac is required but i saw pc software for the iPod a while back, so can someone set me straight?

The Software is called Ephpod! made by a University student and its free!

XPlay looks alot more friendly, but where can I find Ephpod

i used Xplay and it screws up my songs and deletes them from my Ipod

Xplay is the Windows of Ipod and Ephpod is the Linux chose urself
