Plutos
Hi, could someone please tell me what Microsoft Windows Services for UNIX is? From what i've read, it is a software that makes unix apps run natively under Windows OS. Did i get that right? I have some problems to believe that. Could i install, say, KOffice or any other app in my native Windows environment? Thanks in advance. incubusdaemon
it sounds like wine but reversed. Are you familar with cygwin? it sounds a lot like cygwin. edit: i've never used it, but i read the little preview on the link you posted, and it sounds like you've got it right. shrike
that's really bloody odd. I went to the link, and it didn't work. So I searched google, which gave me the exact same link... which worked. I don't mean that it just 404ed me.. Microsoft said the page wasn't there! NetRyder
Take a look at my thread here: http://forum.osnn.net/showthread.php?t=38499 I've posted some screenshots of what you can do with SFU 3.5 :) If you scroll down to post #31, you can see how SFU can be combined with Desktop-X to run X based apps within Windows.
