Depends on who makes the parts really. You do get what you pay for. In many cases with aftermarket, you get a better performing part, but also at a higher price. In most other cases the parts are pretty much identical. You'll also tend to find for example a Alternator for a car. A part directly from the dealer may say, offer a 5 year warranty, and cost $100. (Not real numbers, just making a point) As where you might get an aftermarket unit that will give you a lifetime warranty, but cost you $120. Typically it used to be dealer original parts were at a higher price for the same thing you could get at any auto store cheaper. Most dealers have changed their tune and offered them at the same price, and often cheaper.
