EDIT: July 13, 2004

The skin now uses an image for weekdays, instead of them being drawn on the background image. Now you folks that "Start weekdays from Monday" can set that option back on in Rainlendar config.

I have also renamed all the images with the prefix "Red" so that when other colors become available it will be much easier to sort all the schemes out in your skins folder.

INFORMATION:

===

This skin is based on Apple's Dashboard Datebook widget which will be available

in the "Tiger" OS [2005].

Magbi9 & Sid did a version for Rainlendar that I saw at:

but it doesn't include the "ToDo" list or the "Reminder" box which are part of

more recent versions of Rainlendar. [ http://www.ipi.fi/~rainy/index.php ]

In no way did I use their graphics to make this skin. In fact, I designed it from the ground up using images posted by "Duckie" at [ http://www.therealduckie.net ], also mentioned in the forum linked above.

Now, since Rainlendar is what it is, there are certain things that could not be replicated exactly. So, I had to take a liberty or two in design. The left white panel would normally show the day and month. But since Rainlendar can't do this sort of thing 'yet' I have opted to place images [crops of my own photos] in that panel, and have the month and year in the right panel. This way, you get a picture to look at each month!

* Be sure to read the readme.txt in the archive

Alrighty folks, here's the "GREY" theme for my Rainlendar Dashboard.

All three layouts are included, of course. Screenshot only shows one, as I'm lazy when it comes to doing shots ;-)

INFO:

Simply unzip the archive into the SAME directory as your current Manyk Dashboard skin directory. All the files [ini and graphics] have been renamed accordingly. So when you reload/refresh Rainlendar, a new set will show in the skins menu for Rainlendar. [same as before, just 3 more with prefix Grey]

Ergo blue would be cool. There's a few errors when applying the Grey one, the ToDo is referencing days and others are calling grey days etc, little stuff like that. But a goddam sweet skin.

Um ... that is VERY strange .. because when I look at the ini files for the greys, they all are referencing grey images here ... and these are the ones I zipped!

The skins have been edited to use a weekday image. Now you folks that choose to start your weekdays from Monday don't have to alter that setting in Rainlendar's config.

For SOME reason I can't edit my post for the Grey color version, so only the initial post file is updated, the red one.

To download the updated "Grey" version, get it from Deviantart

Excellent skin!

Can I ask what font you used for the numbers and text etc? And also, is it the font in the Directions on the the Grey preview?

TIA

Tom :)

Font for the Weekdays [sMTWTFS] = Helvetica Medium

Font for the Dates [1-31] = Lucida Sans Unicode

Font for the "Grey" preview image text on right side = Lucida MAC ... Don't have the psd for the screenshot.
