MSN Messanger open mail issue

hi there.....sorry if this has been posted before...

basically i want to stop IE loading when i click on the email link in messanger, instead i want it to open Firefox. is there any way to do this or am i just going to have to put up with it?

Info: winXP / msn 6.2 / firefox 0.9.1 (+shellblock).

I'm afraid that it may not be possible because Microsoft hard-coded MSN Messenger to open in IE. :/

weird. i just checked mine and it opens up outlook 2k3. whaaa :blink: i don't even know how it got that way

You must be using a non hotmail/msn mail address as you passport. In which case messenger opens the default mail client.

nope, i'm using a Hotmail address nor do I access the Hotmail account through Outlook
