Crazy prices of Italian Apple

I'm checking the prices to make my dream G5 machine.... and I realize something that blows my mind away.

Italian (I think european in general) prices are way too big than americans ones...

I've made a G5 setup, with bluethoth, airport express, airport card, 20" Cinema display and Ati 9800...

from Apple Store US it's $4.876,00 that are almost ? 4.000, the same setup on Apple Store Italy it's ?5.506,00 ... that's almost $ 6.950,00 !!!!!

That's absolutely crazy !!!!! I understand the fact that here in italy we have 20% of VAT, but this is not the justification of such big difference!!!!

For the same price I pay the G5 here, i can go a couple of times in the States and by the machine piece by piece....

I wonder why there's such a huge difference in prices...:angry:gry:

I guess we should live with that... but then again, it's not fair !!!

$2500 in difference it's really way too much, you can buy another G5 with that price!

Yeah, I always wondered that, I went to Spain during the spring (I live in the States, and noticed the Euro put a royal hurting on my wallet). Well, your computers made be crazy expensive, but at least your ice cream is generally less expensive and more tasty! (Small consolation, but Cookies and Cream is a fine thing).

Yeah, I'll think I'll go out and buy an ice cream instead of a G5! :D
