i suppose it would be useful at times to know how to hack.

The only thing ive hacked the administrator password on some college pc's so i could remove all the crappy toolbars and spyware that was installed on it but i used some program so i guess that dont count as hacking ;)

my hacking knowlage goes back to icq, icq ip sniffer and netbus :p haha, the good old days.. to be 11... :p

I have seen three times someone say they have had their computer seazed by the police, but no one wants to explain in more detail.... I wanna hear stories :p

edit: a pro wouldnt be scared of being caught and could admit to being a hacker :ninja: :p

i used to search for people intressting in games and say that it was a patch or a game I had created.. noone had antivirus softwares back then :p

Oh yeah  those were the good ol' days! You could do anything you want with other peeps' pc's

I went though a strange of wanting to crack into peoples pcs after allowing a mate to hack into my pc, very interesting he sent me a Trojan over msn Messenger, once opened you dont know anything?s wrong. Mins latter he had access to my computer, he could open my emails programs and even change settings that could cause my pc to "burn out". At this point I was told that a firewall and av was the answer.

As time went on I joined neowin and have learned that firewalls are only as good as the person behind them. And that if you know what your doing theirs no need for a AV, and as long as you keep up to date with patches 9x out of 10 your ok. Now I no longer want to crack (or hack), I take more interested in expressing my feelings of them, that is that their normally sad early to mid 20s still living with their parents, they think their cool, but really they are just terrorists of the internet. And I think they do it cuz they cant face the real world. They can?t face that really they are losers, with no real friends.

to judge a hacker and classify them as a loser is a real good comment there.......most are not losers, but introverts that are dynamically charged......at least in my opinion they are. Personally I always thought that hackers out there are much needed to find the exploits within this digitally connect world of ours, sides its good for the economy.........one gear moves another, and another right down the road......where would our great security measures be without someone trying to bust them open??? lol

Losers......far from losers......they are innovators and pioneers that, with a little discipline and what not, can achieve and succeed online and both off......just like everyone else out there....and that's my 2 C3NTs for today.......

Any unauthorized entry into a private network is prohibited and punishable by fines/and or jail time. This is also a federal offence. A responsible hacker (even though it's still illegal) will gain access to network through exploits and leave a note for the admin notifying them of their venerability but nothing else. If you would like to practice your "hacking" legally you must obtain permission through a network admin or ask a friend if you can try to crack their box. Anyhow be smart about what you do, and think about the consequences of your little "hacking" ventures.

    • I still use "Everything Search" for all my device searches including OneDrive. It just got another update. Extremely fast because when you open it for the first time after a Windows Boot it caches everything. Takes a few seconds, but from the 2nd open on it finds all searches in real time as you type what you are searching for in the search area.
