They don't and I think it needs to be done with the installer, but I'll look in to it some time.

So you guys know, I'm seriously considering going on, at least, an extended hiatus in regards to building. Money is tight and since I'm the only person experiencing longer build times, I'm worried my system may be on the down side and I have no money to replace it. I'm still thinking about it, but I thought it's only fair to let you know now.

If you ever need help with storing the source externally so you have a backup copy, let me know. I can host it on my FTP that I run at home and give you access to the files as needed.

Thanks, but that's not really an issue. What it comes down to is the 2 hours of 100% cpu useage and HDD thrashing that my system goes through every morning. I don't have money to just buy a new system if this one were to fail.

You can also perhaps just switch to weekly releases. It seems stable enough now that most of the updates aren't usually that noticeable from nightly to nightly (most of the time).

i only get your release once a week or if there is a major update/bugfix. i really cant be bothered to update a nightly everyday.

I normally follow the mozillazine build forums too see which bugs are being fixed, if they warrant an upgrade of the browser. So every 3-4 days i'll upgrade or so.

Why don't you schedule your build process during the night and leave da box on so it can build? Then, when you wake up in the morning, no waiting for the build to finish!

I already do that. Like I said, the problem is the fact that the system is being used and abused.

app.update.url in about:config handles the update process.
