Your Mac Hardware Setup

Recommended Posts

people stop posting in this thread until someone gets an MacBook, every time I see this on the front page it gets my hopes up thinking there might be Macbook pictures our pleasure :)

I have one. Shall I post, negative. I will say, MagSafe isn't my favorite thing in the world.

Whys this? Magnet not powerful enough?

JR007: Yea its the perfect size, I mean i have a very small setup so I don't need much, but this is just perfect. And it also looks sweet, IMO, lol.

what the hell you waiting for, post away...pictures preferred!

I need a bit more time with it. My boss called, and was like, we got MacBooks in, if you want yours, come get it. I was like, uhh, ok. But im dead tired, my mom has my camera's chip and Im not in the mood to go find it. A bit ****ed at MagSafe though.

No clue, i think its broken. My cat just rubs against the cord and it comes out. I will say, I am loving OSX. Photoshop is sort of slow in rossetta though, not bad. But man, native programs, sooooo fast. This 7200RPM Sata drive heats up though.

Awesome. Now I discover my WiFi doesn't work with this thing. It's going back, or I'll give Apple a call in the morning. Be prepared future owners. Overall its amazing, but these two issues are unacceptable. I bet i won't get this thing back until march. $3,000 and im out of luck.

Anyways the specs are as follow:

MacBook Pro

15"

2.00GHz

x1600 256MB

2GB DDR2

100GB 7200 RPM Sata

I wanted 2.16, and I am hoping, because this thing is already broken, apple will upgrade me for free.

Price: Too much.

^ Maybe if you're as big of a jerk to them as you are to some other people for their choice of music they'll upgrade you. Go ahead and pray. Pray for appreciation of the arts, while you're at it.

Very nice desk, MonkeyClaw. I've always kind of wanted glass but have never seen one I liked all that well (I don't care for the completely clear ones). Nice clean setup. Don't you have trouble seeing the laptop screen that far back though?

What's that ugly plastic doing at the hinge? I never noticed before. Oh well, congrats on the purchase, that MBP will surely outperform my PB ;-)

It's where the AirPort antenna is housed, I believe. It's not ugly at all in person.

^3 hour and 15 minutes...what were you running for that 3 hour and 15 minutes and screen brightness? Cause we know the screen can go as bring as a actual ACD...so...more detail..

But so far, 3 hours and 15 minutes...I might have to consider my purchase even more carefulyl now (since I get five out of my 15 inch PB)

hrm.... nothing intensive. i was configuring and surfing. the screen brightness is at default (about 80%?) five hours would've been nice... but i'm still happy with it since none of my previous PC laptops did more than 2h15m hehe.

    • Got it. Seem like a good improvement. Thanks. But, before we "Add the source to Trusted Sites," how would know if it is trusted or not? Could get messy for not first Knowing" it is clean. See what I mean?

    • I just started using Teams (and “New” Oiutlook) at work (instead of Slack) and both are truly abysmal pieces of software.
