Bypassing Library's security to play game online..

Im at this library on vacation and would like to play runescape online. However it blocks the internet from going to that site and i cant download the game. Is there a way to bypass library's net protection or am i out of luck?

We can't tell you how to bypass it and trying can get your card thrown in the shreder. It isn't your computer or network.

look for a site that has free anonymous surfing using a webproxy. there are too many sites to list here.

if you're inside the US just sign up for an AOL membership (as long as you can install programs on that computer), connect on top of your current connection and all web traffic inside the AOL browser routes through the AOL network - no filters, no websense, etc

there's also a way to route all external traffic (IE, online games, etc) through AOL too, but I won't go in detail this time, if you want to know more about that, PM me after you got AOL

Guys, I am sure that computer connects to the internet through a network and thus through a proxy. Older AOL clients connects to the AOL server at port 5190 and unless the admins are idiots, you can be sure that the have that port blocked. The newer clients will still not connect if you are behind a proxy(which is most likely the case) unless you specify proxy settings. Three weeks! Go outside and get some excercise! The sun is your friend.
