Fred Derf Veteran Posted July 20, 2004 Veteran Share Posted July 20, 2004 Take a look at the included PNG image. All I want to do is forward traffic from my public port (well say 64.64.64.64 for fun) to my private port of my webserver (192.168.0.2) Actually I have other traffic to forward to, but once I figure out what goes where then I can do the rest. Am I missing a setting for easy mode? This shouldn't be that advanced nor difficult. +BudMan MVC Posted July 20, 2004 MVC Share Posted July 20, 2004 It's not that difficult - what is you do not understand? What module are you looking at? Networking -> Firewall -> IPTables -> Forwarding -> Add Rule I just want to say listen on this interface (or public IP address) on port 80 and forward the packets to port 80 on a private IP address (192.168.0.2) I had a little applet for Windows that worked flawlessly but I took one look at the Webmin page and I went, oh god, what's all this. I think the command line method looks more straightforward. I just find Webmin's page (as I posted from the PNG image) to not have good organization or clear descriptions. I'm used to doing this sort of thing on various NAT routers without difficulty. Usually I'm very happy with how Webmin presents its information (for instance the Samba module is clean and straightforward).
