and have you checked with each softwares EULA?; even some freeware compaines don't allow other people to distribute their programs.

What's the point? if people want any of the software they can just go to the authors site and download it. I could understand if it was a company giving it away on CD for free to people on slow connections, but this makes no sence.

people could download and burn it now, and on their next format, they have all the programs they need right in one spot without needing to re-download them again. they could also be distributed (i.e. copied) and given to our 56k buddies.

I know that for me, when I am updating peoples PCs, it is nice to have a CD with me to just put in and install everything... that's actually why I made it. It just saves me a ton of time from having to go and download everything OVER AND OVER AND OVER...

Unfortunately, 90% of what's in that CD, is something I don't use. I made my own CD called "Essentials" (which btw is in need for version 2.0 :D), and I include there everything I install after a format, but most isn't freeware ;)
