b0se has done it again! I thought Opus OS was crazy... but now Opus 3.0 .. man thats just plain "ownage" haha :D

mad props on this VS.. using V3.0 right now, and I'm liking it alot, almost every bug that was in Opus OS has been fixed in this new VS. :D

I remember that you were gonna fix up the background images in the windows folders, in Opus OS? what happened to that?? but it doesnt matter its just a small thing, no worries.

keep up the good job!! :)

I think I've found a small bug with the VS.

In DirectoryOpus, you have these small icons on the filelister bars. Somehow they do not get provided with the correct color, but just goes plain white on the symbols. It's probably not a problem with Directory Opus, as I've tried some other Visual Styles, and there the small icons shows just as they should in DOpus. Check the included screenshot.

Can it be that this otherwise amazing VS still have a small bug left in it? I would be so happy if that could be looked into if that were the case. :)

bOse: Thanks for taking an interest in this.

Well, at first I thought as well that it might be the app, as the VS has been working flawlessy all the time for me other than this thing.

But it doesn't happen with other themes. Just to demonstrate I switched to Whisp VS, (oh yeah, ugly, but demonstrates clearly the state of the buttons), which has some diffrent coloring on those gadgets that came through just white with CN: Opus 3.0 (as shown in the screenshot I posted 2 posts up). And DOpus recognises the colors for the small buttons just nicely with this Whisp theme. So I don't think it's the app. All diffrent themes I tried with now works out just nice with the app.

Just tried DC++ and it's fine for me also, very odd...

@artstorm: I'll look into it, can't think what it can be though!

Update: I'm still doing minor bug fixes, but most of my time atm is back to my final thesis and work projects. WB version will be out when MSStyle is 100% finished.

Hmm I wonder why mine looks like that tho.....

Maybe its because as you have said its a ..

It's a mod of dc++ which has some extra funcionality..

But in this case its kinda messed up a lil something aswell ;)

Oh and by the way b0se keep up the good work. Been reading and keeping up with this since 2.5.

Even though I havent had a chance to do test it personally..

I'm lookin forward to a near enough perfect version with as few bugs as you could possibly squash.

Then I'm going to use this as my Default theme in months maybe years to come ;)

I think that is the same thing that happens to me with Outlook 2003. It's this theme and I think I remember another bOse theme doing it. When I go to create a new task or calendar even, the drop-down arrow buttons are messed up and I realized that they are picking up the colors from the application underneath them. So if I have Outlook open to e-mails and I got to create a new task then the drop-down arrow buttons will be white with a little test from the e-mail subjects. It's almost like the buttons are transparent but once I open up the window it picks up the background colors and text and keeps them as the button...it can't move the window around and see the background through the buttons. It picks up the colors and keeps them. I hope that made sense.... Any thoughts?

I love the theme by the way. I would love to see as many colors as possible come out of this thing.

/edit: I'll post a screenshot when I am back home. I don't have Office 2003 here.

    • The very fact that a TPM (v2.0 specifically which is part of the issue I suspect) is now a baseline for any supported Windows installation will naturally mean other vendors will start to leverage it as they know it'll be there. It's called progress, and it's always been the way. A TPM isn't a windows thing, it's just a module designed to securely store keys. Secure boot isn't a Windows thing (although MS are the TCA as I recall hence the upheaval this year as the 2011 certs expire), it's just a way to verify a bootloader is signed. Windows simply leverages them.
    • It's a local account with the ability to reset a password at a very base level. I really don't get the issue that gets whipped up around it But you do you
