If these results are to be taken seriously, then the reason why Internet Explorer would be scoring higher is because Internet Explorer will still use it's cache even if it's set not to cache (either locally, server-side or in the html) whereas with Firefox, if it says not to cache it (either locally, server-side or in the html), it will always reload it from the server every time.

I know this because it tests the speeds by loading images.

Try setting Internet Explorer > Internet Options > Temporary Internet Files Settings... > "Check for newer pages of stored pages" to "Never" and you will get a super score ;)

I am seriously considering switching back to IE after SP2 has come out, the speed difference is quite noticable.

I think that Firefox is the browser of the future if Microsoft doesn't start developing IE again. However people see what they want to see. If they come to a site like this they want to be part of the group, so they pretend that FF rulz and IE sux. They claim it's way faster than IE because they want to be one of the l33t geex who trash Microsoft endlessly. I think for most people IE is a little faster but security features are more important than that.

Well, I believe Microsoft is going to develop IE again somewhere in the near future. Otherwise any of the available mods (MyIE2, Avant Browser etc.) would satisfy. Coming to the security issue, I believe Microsoft is handling known bugs quite well, if you're not a 'stupid' user IE will do fine.

But I'm not a person argueing about which browser is the best, they both have their advantages and disadvantages. :)

Let me repeat again. This should not be used as a test. It is not benchmarking the rendering speed or loading speed of the browsers.

Get over it people. If IE is faster than Firefox or Firefox faster than IE. Just use what you think is suitable for you. Stop the which is better and etc nonsense.
