After login... computer wont go "into" desktop

Hi, I'm new to the forums, I go by the name of m00 m00 or moomooman and I have a weird problem I've never had before...

So I wake up, start a new day and turn on the computer type in the password and it wont go in

I tried safe mode and it still wont go in... bios reset and it still wont go in... hardware check and it still wont go in... it's weird because it has never happened to me before...

MY specs:

Athlon XP +1700

MSI KM2M Motherboard

Geforce 4 mx440 64 mb DDR

512 MB Corsair DDR PC 2100

20 GB Western Digital HDD

I have StyleXP and icons with login and boot screens also ... the visual style

sorry... im new but if you mean changing start bars and icons like that... yes

So, it just stalls there with a blue background? Nothing happens? Check the task manager to see what's going on at that time (ctrl+alt+del, or ctrl+shift+esc).

Edit: Do all accounts suffer from the same thing, or just the one in particular.

the taskmanager wont show up...

It has only one account... and in safe mode the both account suffers the same

Why must people use Administrator as the main account. Now i'm buffalo'd as to what to do next. Safe mode is no go... see if Safemode with Command prompt works. If the cmd window opens, run:

net user accountname * /add

to add a new account. Try logging into that in normal windows mode. It's only a Limited account, not sure if an Admin account can be created.

check to see if your resolution on your pc is set too high.. if soo lower it..

its not resolution and stuff... you see the wallpaper i have appears but no icons and start menu a.k.a the explorer

I had to fix a similar problem on a friend's computer once, and it turned out that Norton AntiVirus was causing explorer.exe to hit 100% CPU usage and stop responding, therefore not loading the desktop

well i made a ms-dos boot disc and i dunno what to do... it's weird...

everything is fine except that when i am supposed to go into the desktop it stops and goes back to the login screen and if i do this again it does the same over and over again and again
