I think it would be cool if aero could have transistions of colour, best would be changing colour and stuff depending on day and night and weather.

background could change state ie, a tree growing, a bon fire start to end, sky and clouds moving, the sea

What would be really cool (and I've thought about how to implement this), is have a wallpaper like a tree, and green grass, sky, etc.

And then have that environment mimic the environment outside. Say its 2:45PM, then the scene in the wall should look sunny, but through the evening, you can see the sky darkening, the sun setting, and eventually you have a tree in the dark, with stars, maybe the moon...

And have seasons change too. In August, the leaves should start changing color, etc. Winter, have snow...

That would be really cool.

you stole my idea :p

No, that's not my point. I'm pointing about how could we render imagined Aero through some tools such as Photoshop or something. I'm not great about mocking up much so I decided to resample Aero resources into one of my theme to render parts I need. You'll see there's just Explorer dialog because I didn't make it in other parts. So let's join idea about this unless there's no point to do.

Does anyone have ANY idea what he is talking about?

So Aero shall be something that can inspire our desktop for eye candy and useful stuffs...But I think there must be something we don't know about. Maybe putting the world into PC and spend to rest of life drinking coffee and watch moniter...lol

No. I think he wanted people to post mockups of what people think Aero should look like, which I don't understand, because shouldn't we just wait until MS releases it? That's how it's going to look and how we 'think' it should look is utterly irrelevent to the final design. I thinkt his thread will from here on out be used for Windows X to showcase his Longhorn crap while other users bitch about it until the thread is closed or falls into the obscurity known as page 2, until Windows X revives it.

:p

Been done. My aunt's old Sony Vaio laptop from long ago automatically change according to the time. For example, in the morning it'd be the sunrise, then in the afternoon it would be sunny, then at sunset it'd become red, and at night it was starry.

For me the best Aero theme was (because project terminated?) the photoshop creation? by DigitalFreedom.

I think is the best !

This one

Looks nice:):) From what I've seen in this thread, Aero should be something else more than theme. In other word, theme is one of Aero. I think Longhorn could be the best OS ever when it's released and so o:D:D

btw, I don't understand why people want to start bitching. I just want to know how Aero is from everyone's opinions. I think someone in here should discover book buddha religion. That's the best book to redeem ppl's mind (Since The Matrix use these concepts for their movies)

Right, I'm going to adopt a religion because it was used in the Matrix.

Anyways, I still don't see the point. What I'm trying to say is Aero will be what Microsoft makes it, anything proposed in this thread will ultimately not be used in the final product, so why act like it will be otherwise?

Try Longhorn Aero (Plex UI) from Longhorn Transformation Pack 6. But no trans and modding like that...hehe We can't do it anyway. Just similar possibilities for fun.

    • Citizen Sleeper and Robobeat are free to claim on the Epic Games Store by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe PC gamers have two more games they can add to their library without needing to open their wallets, as the Epic Games Store's freebie offer has just refreshed. That means last week's Warhammer 40K Speed Freeks and The Ouroboros King offer has been replaced by two new games, which happen to be Robobeat and Citizen Sleeper copies. From the duo, Robobeat lands from developer Simon Fredholm, offering a rhythm-based action game. Released only last year, the title puts you into the shoes of Ace, a bounty hunter that's targeting the robot showman Frazzer. The fast-paced title offers movement techniques like wall-running, sliding, and bunny hopping to zoom around while shooting enemies, but the requirement is doing everything to the beat. Outside of built-in tracks, the title also lets players upload their own music to populate its levels too. Next, Citizen Sleeper lands from Jump Over The Age, a sci-fi RPG adventure taking place in a ruined space station where thousands of people are trying to survive. The tabletop RPG-inspired title uses things like dice and clocks to change how the player approaches situations and survives their day-to-day lives. There is a large range of characters to meet with in the station, each with their own storylines and alliances. "You are a sleeper, a digitised human consciousness in an artificial body, owned by a corporation that wants you back," says the developer about the setting. "Thrust amongst the unfamiliar and colourful inhabitants of the Eye, you need to build friendships, earn your keep, and navigate the factions of this strange metropolis, if you hope to survive to see the next cycle." The Citizen Sleeper and Robobeat giveaways are set to run until June 25 on the Epic Games Store, giving PC gamers seven days to claim the latest offer. Once this closes out, new freebies will take its place on the same day. They are supposed to be copies of RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 and Voidwrought. Don't forget that mobile gamers can check out the Epic Game Store's weekly giveaways on Android and iOS to grab a freebie there as well.
    • Vivaldi version 8.0.4033.50 released June 17: https://vivaldi.com/blog/desktop/minor-update-eight-8-0/
    • The Online part hasn't even been announced and probably won't be included on day one. This is a massive singleplayer game.
    • While I agree with all that, it just proves there's an a** built for every seat.
