Okay well apparently ive already signed up for THemeXP and I cant find the email with my login details and they dont have a lost your password option? so what to do now. Will make it a tid difficult to upload it to there now.

this is just getting to be a pain in the ass, sorry everyone for the inconvience. I signed up for xptheme.info a nice lil site but the confirmation email they sent me takes me too some crap, they must be having server problems.

And themeXP well there just pathetic.

So conundrum if youll be so kind to host them ill get the file to you tomorrow, I still want to fix the desktop upa little but for the first release providing it fits in the zip the desktop will only ship with a 1280 resolution.

Anyway Ive changed the ShellStyle, made it more fuller I guess you could say. And worked on a cpl more things on the theme.

Anyone know of any free hosts that allow zip uploads / downloads?

wow thats a really phat theme!!! but uh... i think that you should do something with the taskbar. to me it seems to plain... maybe add some lines or something, or some color variation.., :) lol. but i do like how the box around the selected window in the taskbar is.

keep up the good work

I went to take a look at that xptheme.info site, looks like it is probably just someone running a site off their own machine or something, as they are using DNS2GO for URL redirection. No wonder you had problems. :s

As for themexp.org, I've always had good luck with them and generally like the site, sorry you've had such problems with them. You never can tell I guess... :ermm:

Anyways I think the visual style is awesome, at the very least in looks, and I can't wait to try it out. Hope you can get everything resolved and keep up the good work!

well thanks for your comments just to adress them

The taskbar will remain how it is, It goes well with the desktop and too many colors tend to make things look terrible.

THemeXP is fine but I have already signed up way back when I was making Longhorn themes. Anyway I dont have the email with my password /login in it and they dont have a forgot your password option?

so I cant get back in there unless i make a new email account which im not going too.

Bu thankfully Sunny44, I hope thats your nickname. Has sent me toa site [free] that has great stats so im going to run it off that. So twill be up hopefully before I goto work tomorrow.

hrmm see what I mean I share codyg11 view, I dont want to release it half assed otherwise it will just be ruined.

but I dont know that I actually have the technical ability to finish it, ah yer I do but it might take some time.

Good point Thantos, I get tired of all the betas some authors put up. I was just thinking that if the visual style was released as a beta (more like a release candidate I'd bet) we could all test it out and find any kinks or problems, while Osirus works on the desktop (freeing him up somewhat to do so).

Well its 3am and what better time for a Launch Party.

The Freestyle has landed.

"Critically acclaimed as a pleasure palace for the eyes

This Visual Style sets the standards."

- I just pulled that out my ass, but it sounded alright hey?

The theme has also been uploaded to ThemeXP. So if you download it from there, please vote.

Eitherway it ships with a Beta of the desktop unfortunely on in 1280 * 1024.

Well anyway now we can get on with the work at hand, which at this point in the early morning will be sleep. I sincerely hope you all enjoy.

Theme set... Rating = **** of 5

A star was taken because I had some difficulty implementing the theme. I would've taken another away because the Active Desktop was not working, but realizing that Orisis needs encouragement for making such a good theme, I'll keep it at a 4-star theme!

    • I have a TV, but it is not used for normal linear TV, only streaming and it is not a Samsung and the best bit is, I don;'t and never have had a Instagram account. The only thing I have to do with Meta is Faceache and I only keep that just for the messaging part.
    • But building your own.. what? You can't build anything like the Steam Machine yourself. Even trying to get close costs a good deal more. Even just the CPU cooler in their price comparison is as big as the entire Steam Machine. If you want a regular gaming PC, then by all means, build that. If you want a a small console-like PC for the living room that is good for gaming, I'm not sure what else is a better deal. In the GN review, they only mentioned a small form factor Dell, which is like twice the size and hundreds of dollars more expensive.
    • Those are some popular multiplayer games. But hardly "all". Just those that don't work on Linux currently due to specific anti-cheat implementations. I think it's also fair to point out the literally thousands of games that don't work on the PS5. And it's not locked at 1080p. That's the default, which you can change.
    • Ubuntu Livepatch arrives on Arm64 to eliminate system reboots for kernel updates by Paul Hill Canonical has just announced that its Livepatch service now supports computers with Arm64 processors. For those who are not familiar, Livepatch allows users to apply important kernel updates without any service interruption or rebooting. While home users will benefit from this, it’s even more important for critical machines that absolutely should not be going offline at all. The feature is available as part of Ubuntu Core 26 for Arm64 and Ubuntu Core 20 and onwards for AMD64. According to Canonical, this will improve the security of systems that aren’t security-maintained daily or weekly, and it helps organizations work towards Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) compliance. If you are familiar with Ubuntu, you probably know that most packages can be updated without having to restart the system. There is one big exception to this, and that’s the kernel; it typically requires you to reload the system to boot into the new kernel. With Livepatch, Canonical has done something so that you don’t need to restart to begin using the new kernel. Aside from Ubuntu Core 26, users with Arm64 chips running Ubuntu 26.04 LTS can also use Livepatch. If you want to learn more about Livepatch, check out its product page. There, you can also find a button to join Ubuntu Pro (it’s free for several home devices) so that you can enable Livepatch. By linking your computer to Ubuntu Pro, you will also extend the life of your Ubuntu install from five years to ten years. If you are running Ubuntu, let us know in the comments if you have been looking forward to this feature on your ARM-based computer. If you’ve had a compatible AMD64 machine for a while and never used this feature, let us know why in the comments!
