I must say...this is one of the visually stunning and most productive visual styles I have seen yet. Keep up the outstanding work and hopefully others will follow.

Also, I cannot wait to get my hands on a working copy of the desktop. My goal is to get rid of desktop icons all together and just be able to press those buttons.

I have just been playing around with this and I have a "few" suggestions/Bugs..

1) On the side menu bar the text on the edge under the first box is not visible... May I suggest a change of colour?

2) The message box could use a change from the beige to the same white as the other windows..

3) May I suggest a nice blue colour on the right click menu or a change to the beigy colour you have on your menu tops...

4) Perhaps you could change the background for the control panel window/the music/the movies/the pictures folders...

5) as well I find that the start menu new programs highlight is too bright.. could you tone it down?

These are just a few constructive ideas... In no way are these to put down your work of art...

I relize this is a first beta and not all of the stuff is finished, that is why there are a few probs.. I believe if we can give you some info we can help you improve/speed its development. I feel this will be a very good theme keep up the good work!

I wish I had the talent to do this.. but all I can do now is to help improve it...

Above all a very good start! THX A lot!

First off great first beta, and great project.

Second, for you guys out there the active desktop isn't finished and only the time works

Third, I think that as for my comments on the visual style were summed up two posts b4 and the desktop is REAL COOL

KEEP ON TRUCKIN' OSIRIS :)

JoGro

@Bishop...

the reason why you can't see those items on the desktop is because once you activate the html desktop it acts as a large window over your desktop.. as of right now it is not complete.. it is more of a background rather than anything right now... you can play around with it and get it to work, but there is no point until its completion

Wow 1gb downloaded already, im surprised. And its Rating very well on themeXP.

Thanks all for your comments, you have inspried me to keep on "Trucking" with the project.

The fade idea on page load nice idea but might take alot of resources for such a one off effect.

And thantos thanks for your suggestions I indeed like alot of theme, and sorry about the new programs, I mean to change it but I disabled the option thus forgot about the bright effect.

If anyone else knows

1. Another site I could host my site on

2. Great With HTML/FLASH im sort of new to flash and I cant get the Javascript code for the Desktop menus to work with the Flash so if you think you can help with any of those two by all means please get in touch. Add me to messenger or PM Thanks.

Also for those of you who are having trouble locating it

LMFAO

ahahahhaahah thats great :D Well Osiris at least you know people really like your theme :)

I tell you ive made some great advancements in the theme particulary with the shellstyle.dll a beta2 should be on the road soon.

And hopefully with the help of JoGro123 we will be able to get the desktop working too.

The pictures with the lines in them are the Blue - UserPanel and Logoffbackground.

Hey man, u really know how to make Cool themes, since i saw this on themeXP i'm using it, not as other themes, that i used to change like every hour :D cause they're not cool! but this one.... what can i say, if is the best ;) Keep working on it, and here my other opinions!

freestyle.bmp

if you need some space just tell me, i know where to put it ;)

Ohh and by the way, the text in the middle is Cool 2.

see this is why its Beta, RC's hack out the tiny problems like 1 line over a thing as you pointed out. Ill look into that but the major changes are more important in fixing then the minor ones.

Dont worry before the final ill fix it, im just saying. Actually ill see if I can fix it for Beta2, I tell ya im loving the changes ive made to the ShellStyle, really gives it a vibrant and spectacular professional feel. Anyway without giving too much away ill move on.

As for the white well yer, I dunno ive never been a fan of the single coloured opposite sides, ill go make one and see what I think but.

Thanks again for your comments and suggestions, rest assured they arent falling on deaf ears.

    • I have a TV, but it is not used for normal linear TV, only streaming and it is not a Samsung and the best bit is, I don;'t and never have had a Instagram account. The only thing I have to do with Meta is Faceache and I only keep that just for the messaging part.
    • But building your own.. what? You can't build anything like the Steam Machine yourself. Even trying to get close costs a good deal more. Even just the CPU cooler in their price comparison is as big as the entire Steam Machine. If you want a regular gaming PC, then by all means, build that. If you want a a small console-like PC for the living room that is good for gaming, I'm not sure what else is a better deal. In the GN review, they only mentioned a small form factor Dell, which is like twice the size and hundreds of dollars more expensive.
    • Those are some popular multiplayer games. But hardly "all". Just those that don't work on Linux currently due to specific anti-cheat implementations. I think it's also fair to point out the literally thousands of games that don't work on the PS5. And it's not locked at 1080p. That's the default, which you can change.
    • Ubuntu Livepatch arrives on Arm64 to eliminate system reboots for kernel updates by Paul Hill Canonical has just announced that its Livepatch service now supports computers with Arm64 processors. For those who are not familiar, Livepatch allows users to apply important kernel updates without any service interruption or rebooting. While home users will benefit from this, it’s even more important for critical machines that absolutely should not be going offline at all. The feature is available as part of Ubuntu Core 26 for Arm64 and Ubuntu Core 20 and onwards for AMD64. According to Canonical, this will improve the security of systems that aren’t security-maintained daily or weekly, and it helps organizations work towards Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) compliance. If you are familiar with Ubuntu, you probably know that most packages can be updated without having to restart the system. There is one big exception to this, and that’s the kernel; it typically requires you to reload the system to boot into the new kernel. With Livepatch, Canonical has done something so that you don’t need to restart to begin using the new kernel. Aside from Ubuntu Core 26, users with Arm64 chips running Ubuntu 26.04 LTS can also use Livepatch. If you want to learn more about Livepatch, check out its product page. There, you can also find a button to join Ubuntu Pro (it’s free for several home devices) so that you can enable Livepatch. By linking your computer to Ubuntu Pro, you will also extend the life of your Ubuntu install from five years to ten years. If you are running Ubuntu, let us know in the comments if you have been looking forward to this feature on your ARM-based computer. If you’ve had a compatible AMD64 machine for a while and never used this feature, let us know why in the comments!
