Doom III media and tweaking

Recommended Posts

I've decided to just do headshots on whatever I can until I get another weapon or more ammo.

Are there headshots in this game? I know headshots usually do 3x damage in a lot of FPS games, but there are no headshots in Q3 so I wasn't sure if they made any difference in this game.

:x

Phew, got me a cheap Radeon 9800,

unfortunatley SE but hey at least that thing has 128 MB 256 MBit Ram and not the SE typical 128 MBit RAM.

As long as I don't have to play it on my old 8500 crap card :whistle:

Now if they just would sell the damn game already over here :cry:

It's not 128Mbit, its 128 bit.

there is no headshots... these damn zombies can walk around headless... yea... I had to shoot 3 times to put 'em down in the head.. OR>. a close up shot in the face with a shotgun.

Certain creatures can take headshots. The ones that look like humans and wear spectacles, I killed about 5 that way because I only had 11 ammo left. Granted, you can't use a pistol from one side of a room to another (I was right up in his face), but nontheless, it works. I do agree, though, that most if not all of the other creatures need at LEAST 3 shots to take out.

yeah 3 bullets or 3 firsts to the body. WTF? I can wack'em with my flashlight and they'll go down. That's freakin hilarious.

What really freaks me out is the damn lights going out and you can't see a damn thing and they come at you from all sides. Sons of bitches!

by the time you get to the first one of those "bulls" you should have a granade, 1 granade + 2 shotgun shots did it for me (second reload)

i hit him with 8 shotguns "shots and a full round of machine gun hits.. he still came after me.. and jumped on me and killed me.. :laugh:

btw i havent got a grenade yet :huh:

Here's some "Tweaking":whistle::

Bring the console up with [~] and type the following codes in to blow

the monsters back to hell:)

aviDemo = Saves a demo of your playing to an AVI movie file

benchmark = Game Benchmark

doomhell = Skip all levels to last

freeze = Freeze all on screen

gfxinfo = Graphicscard infomation

god = God mode

noclip = No Clip

notarget = Invisibility to most enemies

com_drawfps 1 = Show FPS

give all = Full load of weapons and ammo

give doom95 = Load the '95 version of Doom

give keys = Acquire all the keys you'll ever need

give weapon_machinegun = Machinegun

give weapon_shotgun = Shotgun

give weapon_plasmagun = Plasmagun

give weapon_bfg = BFG

give weapon_chainsaw = Chainsaw

give weapon_rocketlauncher = Rocket Launcher

status = Your game status

quit = Quid aka Exit

give doom95 = Load the '95 version of Doom

Sweet gonna have to try that.

ok the game definitely doesn't put enough ammo!

I'm in Alpha Lab 2 and with a lot of reloading I achieve the most rational use of ammo (aka I only spend exact amount it takes to kill specific creep) and now I'm out of ammo, creeps are creeping at me, and no ammo on the ground. I also do several rounds of checks of each area to ensure that I get everything.

There is just NOT ENOUGH AMMO!

P.S. does anyone else find the game boring up until now? I mean it's plenty scary, but rather uneventful...

Look in the corners there are also pits you can drop into that have ladders out filled with ammo and armor, ect. Look around which is funny cause your in the dark most of the time, LOL.

bah i cant kill that big monster... the one which looks like a "bull" :cry:

and im low on ammo.... and 80 health :(

If you mean the first one that attacks the door then bursts through the security glass you should have found several grenedes but I forgot I had them but 1 full clip of shot gun and I think 2 pistol did the trick but you need to shoot asap you see him in the glass, LOL. Good luck!

whats even more hilarious is that its in the "aerobic stabilizer" room :laugh:

DoNuTs© what the hell? i said Ultra at 1600x1200!!

    • Microsoft confirms Recycle Bin bug across all versions of Windows by Usama Jawad A couple of days ago, we reported that the latest Patch Tuesday update has seemingly resulted in a lot of issues for many users, including OneDrive and Dropbox access problems, BitLocker recovery lockouts, and BSODs. Although Microsoft is yet to acknowledge these bugs, it has confirmed another, relatively smaller issue across all supported versions of Windows. In an update on its Windows Release Health Dashboard, Microsoft has confirmed that after installing June's Patch Tuesday update (KB5094126), you'll experience unexpected behavior when leveraging Recycle Bin. Basically, when you attempt to delete an item from the Recycle Bin, the confirm dialog will show you the internal file name of that content rather than the actual name. For example, the file may be named abc.png, but the confirm dialog will ask if you're sure that you want to permanently delete $Rxxxxx.png from the Recycle Bin. This is pretty much it for the scope of the bug itself; it just displays the wrong name in the confirm dialog. The correct name will be shown in the list view of the Recycle Bin and if you restore the file, it will return with the correct name as well. This issue affects pretty much all supported versions of Windows client and server, including: Client: Windows 11, version 26H1; Windows 11, version 25H2; Windows 11, version 24H2; Windows 11, version 23H2; Windows 10, version 22H2; Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2021; Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2019; Windows 10 Enterprise LTSB 2016 Server: Windows Server 2025; Windows Server 2022; Windows Server 2019; Windows Server 2016; Windows Server 2012 R2; Windows Server 2012 As things currently stand, Microsoft is working on a concrete solution that will be released in a "future" Windows update. It remains to be seen if the firm will wait till the next Patch Tuesday or roll out an out-of-band (OOB) fix. The good news is that commercial customers can deploy a workaround right now, but they will have to reach out to Microsoft Support for Business for additional details.
    • They said by this time everyone will have flying cars. WELL...
    • A study by physicist Henry Tye of Cornell University suggests that the universe may not expand forever. Instead, it could eventually stop expanding, begin contracting and end in a "Big Crunch" roughly 20 billion years from now. Maybe not as we now know that time can flow backwards.
    • Of course. Simply reverse the polarity.
    • It is clear from this aricle that "Time Is On My Side" no matter which direction it is flowing., https://noai.duckduckgo.com/?i...m%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DsEj8lUx0gwY
