if your using aol with DSL no you have to use the software

guys read the forum before replying and telling him to use dialup when hes on aol dsl

Aol dialer does the same thing as the software, it can be used for dial up or DSL

anyways aol tells you the same thing just saves you being put on hold for 40mins for they tech support .lol

so....can i use it or not and i got rid of the tray icon in the corner........so HELP!?

Yes you can use it , if you prefer to check you can call aol and ask for a step by step guide

tel:0800 3764406

to get the tray icon back

go to start > run

type C:\Program Files\aol\aoltrayicon.exe

cant rememeber if the file name is correct, you should be able to check it on your system tho

just browse the aol folder on your system should find a file called soltray or aoltrayicon which brings back the tray icon

i remember when you could use the aol # and the user name/pw or some string and put it in windows dial up networking. that was the shizzle. then some aol hacker kid made a program you could use instead of aol based off the aol 2.5 client but i doubt that works anymore.

    • The first generation of iPhones had Java 2 Mobile Edition (J2ME) support (ok ok JVM support) which was the same framework/version that Android and BlackBerry and PalmOS all ran on (in addition to their Linux roots) which increased the prospect of third-party developer integrations on the platform. The way in which Apple was able to veer in a different direction with their iOS (hint: native Objective-C) than how Android and BlackBerry evolved (hint: Java) is part of their engineering legacy. The performance hit is so pronounced that even Android is reengineered for Kotlin rather than traditional Java programming.
    • So I have a confession to make : I've used PCs mostly with Intel processors for over 30 years, I've been a developer for 12 years, chosen Intel PCs for my dev team at work, managed those PCs with MS Intune... And I still have no idea what "vPro" is or why I would need it.
