I felt like starting a nice thread that will last long hopefully! Here is how it works. You will have to rate the above persons sig with (1-10) or do it by percent (eg: 100%). You can vote on any one but try not rating the same person unless they changed their sig. Also, If your rating someone, Please use the ^ arrow. ^ is the 1st above person, ^^ is the 2nd above person, and so on. So lets get starting! (Dont vote for your own sig).
Since im the starter, I cant rate my self. So lets start :).
P.S. I just added this. You dont have to rate their sig but say something about it (eg: Too planish). :p!
I need to understand the rationale of not shipping all of these K2 improvements in a single update/release. It's giving "we will fix Windows 11 but no commitments". It seems to me that they just announce these improvements just to appease the community.
The term "RTM" is long gone starting with Windows 10. Every current release is a GA build. This is the result of MS making Windows as a Service (WaaS).
I think I understood the article fine. Online password managers open users up to more possibilities of getting hacked, and due to KeePass being offline and local it reduces the idea of getting hacked. If someone chooses to put their database online they're kinda missing the point.
With regards to the idea of the on-prem idea, I would have two issues. I'm not sure about the first issue, but I wouldn't be surprised about them offering a cloud storage for the passwords that most wouldn't bother to switch off, regardless of if they went for on-prem or not. The second issue is that the on-prem solution for Bitwarden costs money, whereas KeePass is free and open-source (as far as I am aware).
The article points out how to sync the database between devices, and I recognise that deficiency in security. But it isn't a necessity. So both services can offer a same idea, but one is free and the other isn't...choices, choices....
But to each their own.
