ShadowOfJosh
When I move files to another folder on the same drive when I try to open them in the new folder I get a access denied error in windows media player...if I try to move it back to the previous folder I get "Error Moving File or Folder...Make sure the disk is not full or write-protected and that the file is not currently in use" but otherwise if I copy the file and paste it in the new folder it plays how it should...it just doesnt make sense to me that if i copy it and paste it it works and if I move it it doesnt...dont want more than one copy but I want to move them. any suggestions? I attached the error windows. nicotrak
I think it is because the file is open (by MediaPlayer) so it cannot be moved (which means deleting the source file after the copy, and the source file is open and locked) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/201491-access-denied-errorsmoving-files/#findComment-584332211 Share on other sites
ShadowOfJosh
wOw...the screenshot must have confuzZzled ya! thats not exactly how it looks...windows media player isnt open when I try to move the file back...the error window on the bottom is when I try to move it back that window is alone I just pasted it on that screen cause I thought you could only send one file. so i will post it seperate. Swiftie
Try this. On a Windows Explorer window. Click on Tools - Folder Options & then under the View tab. Untick Do Not Cache Thumbnails. Restart your machine and then try ;) Brgs Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/201491-access-denied-errorsmoving-files/#findComment-584337817 Share on other sites
