just gave it a shot, im playing online ;) and btw, not done the guide, just DL'ed a noncracked copy of cs:s and with help of a crack (not gonna mention) it all works ;) pretty nice as well.... its like 70 servers up already, and plenty of people playing already...

Well i got it working nicely 10 mins after they updated the protocol, luckily though creating a game is working for me even though ive read tons ppl say that it doesnt, so that was fun, 60 - 80 fps on medium detail 1024 x 768, more than playable, and gives me more time to wait before upgrading my ti4600

You still have to connect to the Steam auth servers...Valve has you right where they want you.

They sure do, i bet they wanted us playing the beta when were not supposed to :rolleyes: and im sure theyre logging all the ips there servers says are playing cs cz condename gordon on the cracked servers, as the new protocol has blocked from the cracked version from playing on real servers, i have yet to play on a real server, and when i do ill happily use my newly created account and hide behind my dozens of different ips and half dozen different host masks :ninja:

I doubt valve even really cares, they cut off the public access in about 3 hours, now theres about a couple hundred ppl max playing on cracked servers that valve doesnt even know about and dont show up in the server list, so until the crack is updated valve coulndt give a rats ass and when it is updated theyll block it again with a couple hours.
