There you go, guys! Enough info for ;)? ;) Now then, I need to get back to workin' on the site. Feel free to discus:D :D

Sounds great! Any idea what release us XPSP2 users get? Just the tweak version I take it?

Pretty much. When it's run it says it's just for XPSP1, but it will work with SP2. Just make sure you install things that work (for example, the ISO Burner is only for SP1 until he updates it).

msn messenger plus does contain spyware. It installs mysearchbar. Annoying as hell to remove once installed but completely doable. I still use msn plus just make sure to monitor my registry and startup files as installing so it can be removed.

Hi Flish, can't wait for the APXP SP2 compatible version to be released.

on a sidenote, i found a copy of the first post-sp2 hotfix on bink.nu, the below links is to the knowledge base article. and finally to the actual hotfix, hope this helps

http://support.microsoft.com/?id=884020

http://bink.nu/files/KB884020.zip this is a direct link (you have to rename the file from *.zip to *.exe)

OMFG OWNAGE THANK YOU!@!@!!!!@!@!!1

I shall now stop spamming Flish.

Flish you can upload it to my server, I will PM you the required information. Also, I have about 1GB of Storage available and 40GB of transfer a month. So I guess use your judgement on what is the appropriate file to use.

I shouldn't have any problems hosting the full version of the Post SP2 AutoPatcher. . . hint hint :D LOL

I may be able to host it as well. I have around 800MB free and 400GB (yes, 400) a month transfer (though 1/3 to 1/2 of that is needed for http://windowsubcd.com ). Let me know if you need anyone else. :)

Edited by LittlBUGer

Just have one mirror the other mirrors can yank it from. When I get 700MB iso images it takes less than 3 mins when doing it from server to server usually. Let us know a username/password then give us half a day or a day to get it. If there is a mirror to yank it from can you pm me the info please Flishfun?

Will this new build scan ala Windows Update?

And what's Tweakomatic?

Heres another one for you flish, the .net framework 1.1 sp1 has just been officially released in NZ, featuring greater XP SP2 compatiblity, and other security enhancements.

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...&DisplayLang=en

oh, and excuse my ignorance.net, but why has MS released .Net Framework 1.0 sp3 and 1.1 Sp1 concurrently, do they do separate things, do we need both???

    • Apple reluctantly forces strict new age checks on Texas users starting today by Paul Hill Apple will begin enforcing the Texas Age Assurance Law (SB 2420) following a recent court ruling that lifted an injunction on SB 2420. Starting June 4 (today), Apple will enforce strict age-verification and parental-consent rules for new Apple accounts created in Texas. This move will affect children under 18 who go to download apps or attempt to make in-app purchases. Apple previously expressed privacy concerns related to this law, but compliance is now mandatory for the company, nevertheless. Apple will use several APIs to follow the law. Principally, the Declared Age Range API will fetch the specific user age bracket (Under 13, 13-15, 16-17, or 18+) and a verification method. The Significant Change API (PermissionKit) will trigger a system dialog for parental consent if an app gets a major update or an age-rating shift. There is also a new property type in StoreKit that allows developers to automatically check when their app’s age rating has changed on a user’s device and then use the Significant Change API to request parental consent. Finally, App Store Server Notifications can be configured to tell developers when a parent revokes consent, blocking app launches. To ensure they are ready for these changes, developers must immediately use Apple’s sandbox testing environment to validate these APIs in their apps. For any developers out there finding this to be inconvenient, get used to it. Other regions, such as Utah, Louisiana, and Brazil, are looking at, or have implemented, similar rules.
