I'm trying to figure out all this port forwarding stuff.

I want to open port TCP 6881 for Azureus (a BitTorrent client) so I can download Steam with a CS cache.

Here's my network setup:

Cisco 678 Modem --> D-Link DI-524 Router --> Four Windows XP Clients

Here's what I did:

I forwarded all ports from the Modem (10.0.0.1) to the Router (192.168.0.1) using:

set nat entry add 192.168.0.1

I then created a new "Virtual Server" entry in the Router setup. I set the Private Address to 192.168.0.101 (my computer's auto assigned IP), TCP, and 6881 port number for both public and private.

I THEN Allowed the Azureus application in Windows Firewall (I'm running XP Pro SP2 2180).

However, Azureus's configuration wizard still tells me that port 6881 has a "NAT Error".

What am I doing wrong? Networks are confusing :blink:

My guess is that it's having a problem with the Router, because it used to work when I had the modem hooked up to a dumb hub.
