Software to use to remove static from mp3's

I have two albums in mp3 and most song have split second/seconds when the song cuts out and I get really loud static like when you turn on the tv kind and you get that black and white static screen, anyways it makes me jump because it's really loud, is there any app I can use that would make it easy for me to remove those parts from the songs , the easier the better.

This is copy protection on music you download off P2P networks. If you have the albums, you shoudln't get static (if they're ripped correctly).

Audacity is a pretty easy sound editor. Open up the mp3, select the area and hit delete, save as wav/mp3/ogg
