Ronin. Awesome movie. When you read Shogun, the novel its based on, you''ll see a lot of parallels.

Ok. I'm cheating since I'm going to mention another one.

Bruce Lee, Enter the Dragon. Ok, some might argue that its not the best martial arts film ever. Fine. But Bruce Lee had the charisma and martial arts talent in his movies that made you want to watch more. Plus it set the stage higher for new movies.

Jim carrey movies excluding Cable Guy, Truman Show, and Majestic. Him and serious just don't go together. Other than that I really liked The Rock, The Matrix (how was this not mentioned already), and Swordfish even with the Halle Berry scene.

i loved Almost Famous, one of the best movies bout music ever made :), but it was actually kinda based on a true story since the director/head writer of the movie was actually a writer for rolling stone when he was young n met many of the bands that were mentioned in the movie

PS - i thought the car chase in Ronin was good, but the overly simplistic ending (kill one guy and all the problems in Ulster disappear) made the film crappy for me...
