Canada: Tell me about you're great country!

Recommended Posts

I live in a quiet town of Sudbury in Ontario. There is nothing here. We have a giant nickle and that's about all. Yet we like it here. I have a camp not to far away where there is NO tourists and our own private piece of land. Everyone is friendly and I don't know anyone who owns a gun (except one friend who hunts).

All in all (it's 1am here and I'm tierd), Canada is great. I have been almost across the whole country and there is nowhere I don't like. Everyone is freindly and we allow you to have fun.

The guy who took that picture must have had a heart attack. :o

Your stomache rumbles like crazy when you're standing there.

 I would think most people, including myself, don't worry about a thing. I mean what's there to be scared about it's just a floor you can see through. :p

However it was funny when my friend and I went once and started jumping and stomping on it real hard; we forgot about the many other kids that were on it and they all jumped off quick screaming. :p

If you want to came in canada, I think the best seaon his falls. That's simply beautifull

and if you want something you can only find in Quebec ( at least mostly in Quebec ), came in Autumn. You will find  Mapple Sirup.

The last person who mentioned "The Falls" was referring to Niagara Falls rather than the fall season.

Im about an hour or so from Whistler and it is amazing. Awesome resort. You will enjoy it much if you go to ski. You might be interested in going on a HeliJet tour around Vancouver island to, very neat. Ontario is kind of boring unless you like looking at lame buildings. Quebec has alot of festivals going on alot of the time but I wouldn't understand a dang word they were saying there (french). Hmm what else. Hmm I think PEI is pretty interesting. Yea :D. If you want to see a Big mall go to West Edmonton Mall. Its huge, has like 9 McDonalds in it, a hotel, a themepark, wave pool, probably like 3 of everystore :p some sweet ass internet cafe/arcade and a bunch of awesome stuff and in alberta I think they have some dinosaur thing.

Thats Blueshift gaming which sucks in comparison to Switchbox in Calgary. Such an awesome place. Its cool when they have tournaments between their two 36 seat stores.

Calgary is a great city. There is a ton of money there, so many jobs... a very nice 40 minute drive from the mountains...

From NB here, go atlantic provinces!

Actually there is not much to do here. There is practically no crime rate here, but none the less there is still not much to do, but vacation to other provinces

:) Also living in New Brunswick (Saint John) and I have to agree there is like no crime. Having moved from the UK two years ago I find the lifestyle here much more laid back. Most things are really cheap and with the low crime rates it's a really safe place to live.

Heck this is the kinda place you see cars with their windows rolled down, the keys in the ignition and nobody in them in parking lots! :D

Well I'm over in Montreal, QC. I'm bilingual but I much much prefer english, it's my first language. There's always stuff to do in this city, downtown st-catherine street is always lively :) Next friday Laronde (member of six flags family) is having this event called Nuit Blanche. Grounds and Rides are open from 11pm - 5am and they're going to have rock concerts, beer and hot female dancers! Wish me luck trying to find the perfect amount of beer to take for rollercoasters without puking! :woot:

She lives in Ontario... not far from toronto, bout an hours drive I think. I forget what the exact name of the place is but she's gonna be workin at a uni.

I live about 1hr away from toronto. Here are a few towns/cities around that area if any of them will ring a bell: Milton :D , Oakville, Guelph (University of Guelph), Missisauga, Georgetown, Kitchener/Waterloo (University of Waterloo, Wilfrid Laurier University), Hamilton (McMaster University), London (University of Western Ontario :D ).

Canada is quite an amazing place to live.

    • Cheap labour, the same as the U.K. China pays their people pittance.
    • Those people that come over here on boats are already in a safe country, if they want to come over here then do so correctly though the right channels. I was born in the U.K, my family that came over here came so via the proper means. My partner came here via the correct channels, she also became a British citizen, she knows more about this country than most of them that was born here, including myself, she worked hard to do what she does. She will stick up for this country and have done a few times, when people from her own part of world have put the U.K down. We are not going to agree, all I said to start with is that maybe Trump has the right idea with this America first thing and maybe we should start doing the same. Maybe not as drastic as what he is doing, but we do need to sort this country out, we need to sort out tech instead of relying on the U.S and others. Again you have not shown why you are so annoyed that we have left the E.U and this is what it is all about? If you don't live in the U.K and live in the E.U are you annoyed that we left your little club? If you live in the U.K and is pro-E.U, then fair enough then I can see how it annoys you. Are you one of these people who lives in the U.K and have a holiday chalet in the E.U and can now only stay there for so long? If so, then that is bad luck. As I have posted before, I have no problem with people coming here to work, as long as they do if via the proper channels. We are out of the E.U, people voted out, and maybe if more people had voted instead of sitting on their backsides the results would have been different. But they like the E.U and our government thought no we would not vote to leave. How wrong they were, surprised me. I expected to wake up in the morning and hear on the radio that we voted to stay. As I said, we are out and have been for 10 years, we are not going to go back in anytime soon if we ever do, so we all need to make the best of how things are. Anyway, this is supposed to be a tech site.
    • Tim Cook: "The US over time began to stop having as many vocational kinds of skills." What's the point of wasting time getting those skills if you can't get a job with them? Good Lord, maybe he and his cohort of CEO's who exported all these jobs to China should just shut the f**k up :D
    • I made a new Cinematic/Trailer for the game, this will be the intro, still a work in progress!  I also updated the Steam page with a ton of new screenshots! 👀 https://store.steampowered.com/app/3925340/Incoherence_Dark_Rooms/
