With the addition of Miami and Va Tech, the ACC looks like one of the premier college football conferences in the country. Will Miami win the conference? How about Florida State? Clemson? Virginia? Maryland? Since I am from South Carolina, I have to think my Clemson Tigers have a chance, but our schedule is brutal. With arguably the best QB in the ACC, (maybe the country) in Charlie Whitehurst, I think Clemson has a chance to do some damage in the new ACC. What does everyone think? I think Miami wins the ACC, with FSU finishing second, and Clemson third.

Doesn't matter though...SEC is still the best conference in the land.

Tell that to Clemson and Florida State, which both own their in-state SEC rivals. By the way, Clemson spanked Tennessee in the Peach Bowl.

"the ACC looks like one of the premier college football conferences in the country" ha ha ha big 12 all the way, hey L3thal don't flame me like u just flamed SD just wanted to get my edge in too cause without a little debate doesn't that make it boring :)

I'm quite content with your opinion that the Big 12 is better. On the other hand, SD just picks a random team, then says he hopes they all fail, and then roots for his team. Whether you like Michigan or even Notre Dame, the question wasn't which team you liked, but which team YOU think will win the ACC :p

By the way, I do agree with you that the Big 10 is much better teamwise.

well since i live close to lincoln, nebraska im a cornhusker of course and it will be interesting to see how we perform with callahan this year.

:woot:

SD, I was in no way trying to flame you, though it may have sounded like it. If you meant that Michigan would win it all, you should've stated it, since all you say was GO MICHIGAN!

can't count out my alum - Miami :)

my my, those are rare. Usually i can shut a miami fan up real easy by asking them what year they graduated. You are the 1/100 miami fans that actually has stepped foot on the campus. I really hope clemson can win the ACC, and I'd love to see anyone else BUT miami win it (especially if we can knock off FSU in the Erector Set,) But i really feel like whoever wins on labor day is going to win it all. That being said, *choke* go noles on labor day *gag*

eh, i hate all the teams in the acc...such a lame conference :p

you guys really think rix can win? ha, he defines the word choke. florida won't do it either, nor miami. i'm gonna say clemson.

but yeah, acc is only the #3 conference, following #1 big 10, #2 sec. i'd put the big 12 as the #4 conference. pac 10 is a joke from top to bottom.

i will say now that a team from the acc won't win the national championship either. the better the conference, the harder it will be to win. i bet miami has 2-3 losses this year too. they used to have to play like 2 or 3 hard games through the course of a season. lets see how they do win they have to bring their A game week in and week out.

    • Browser vendors pen open letter to Microsoft saying "enough is enough" by Usama Jawad We have seen Microsoft resort to questionable tactics in the past to get more customers to use Edge, such as "bribing" people to use Edge, testing new behavior so that Edge loads automatically on startup every time, and pressuring OEMs to exclusively bundle Edge in Windows PCs. However, the company often receives pushback not only from customers but also from the Browser Choice Alliance (BCA). Now, the collective has penned an open letter to the Redmond tech firm to highlight its dissatisfaction with its practices. For those unaware, BCA is a coalition that touts several browser vendors as its members, including Google Chrome, Midori, Opera, Vivaldi, BrowserWorks, and Wavebox. Its latest open letter to Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella emphasizes that "enough is enough" and that user choice on Windows should be respected. It claimed that the company is abusing its dominant position in the PC space to push customers to its first-party browser, even if they don't want to use it. To do this, it resorts to shady tactics, some of which we highlighted at the start of this piece. It says that Microsoft is making it very difficult for users to set their preferred browser across all touchpoints. This is problematic as PCs are becoming even more prevalent in the AI era, so user choice is being restricted across even more devices, further frustrating users (and competing browser vendors). As such, BCA has urged Microsoft to take the following actions to level the playing field: Allow browser suppliers to compete for preinstallation and default deals with Windows PC manufacturers End dark patterns targeted at users seeking to download and effectively use other browsers (including as system-level default) Bring back the ability for users to make switching default browsers simple and transparent with a “single click” change for all relevant file types and apps (including PDFs) Open all web links in the users’ selected system-level browser of choice Eliminate manipulative Microsoft-exclusive banners pushing Edge in Windows, including when users are searching for other browsers Stop using operating system updates to push users back to Edge Remove the restrictive configurations of existing S mode devices that block the usage of third-party browsers. It believes that all browsers should compete on merit, as this will drive innovation and healthy competition. Despite its strong wording and publication of the letter openly, it's unclear if Microsoft will pay any heed to the BCA and if this will result in any tangible downstream benefits. We'll likely find out in due time.
