cmos checksum error and non responsive keyboard

Recommended Posts

its a brand new mobo so i hope the keyboard port isnt broken. as far as I know, the keyboard worked fine on the old mobo. it does happen every boot and because i have to press a key to continue i cant get any further or to the bios settings or desktop or anything. someone suggested i return the mobo, maybe i should?

Check the manual and see if there's a jumper to disable the PS2 Keyboard port.. maybe it was shipped with it being disabled (doubtful)..

If not, try another keyboard or a USB keyboard.. if neither work, board is ******..

And Pimpshiznid.. just disable the floppy in the bios and set the first boot devcice to IDE0 to get rid of that error.
