Streets & Trips 2005 with GPS Locator!

I bought one of these babies at CompUSA today ($79.99)

It's the first time, it came with a GPS hardware!

What do you think? $80 is pretty cheap.

Would it get A lot cheaper, in the NEAR future?

Well, when I goto travel I can get accurate locations if I get lost!

I heard it's also useful for Wardriving. ;)

The GPS locator works, and it's cool! At first, I install it on my desktop and it don't work...

Of course, I am indoors!!!

Do you have to have a laptop to use the GPS or is it a standalone?

Edit: Nevermind, read the website again. It's for laptops, pocketPC, etc.

It CAN be for Desktops, if you can get it to outside, because it NEEDS to see the satelites in the sky!

hehe, i use gps all the time... for tracing routes etc i use wayfinder for sybmbian UIQ.

Gps is handy if you use it and id suggest those who want it get it at a nice price :yes:

It would be so cool if it could be used on pocketpcs with usb ports. $80 is much cheaper than most of the stuff out there!

Does MS Streets have 3D maps? That would be awesome :)

If it needs to see the satellite, does it work well in a car, even though you have the roof blocking you?
