I am trying to slipstream a Dell XP Pro OEM CD. When I get to the actual slipstream I get a message saying that:

"This Service Pack cannot be integrated into a destination that also has integrated Software Updates"

I guess I need to remove some stuff from the Dell CD..... but what?

that happens because you already have updates slipstreamed in your cd (well not actually slipstreamed but gets installed during the windows installation). If you dont manage to get a sp1 cd only try to delete the svcpack.ini file and svcpack folder in the i386 folder of the winxp cd you copied to the hdd and try again.

Thanks for mentioning this. However I didnt fully understand what you meant. Would you be able to explain it a little more in depth and I shall see what you mean and then write it up again into the manaul. Does this only happen with Dell XP OEM disks? Or will it happen with other XP disks? I have a feeling it's happening because its not a direct Microsoft Windows XP OEM disk, but instead its a licensed version from Dell where they have the rights to add and remove components of their own and Microsofts, am I right?

The below posts mention two files you should try and remove. If this does not work please come back because I am looking further into this myself. As soon as I have the exact reason clearly underlined I will add it to my manual. If anyone wants to help on the manual you will receive full credit for your work. :D

P.S I am thinking of putting a whole site together about slipstreaming service packs and other software as it appears that it is becoming both very popular but also a problem for some people. If you are interested please let me know. You will also receive full credit for your own work and team work. :D

It's a great Tutorial.. ;)

But, in my opinion, it's more easy using the AutoStreamer (Not nLite!) to Splipstream SP2...~

But ptiliffe said we cannot slipstream SP2 on a Windows XP SP1 CD.... But I have the luck that I have the Windows XP (Gold Version) - Without SP's... So, i think to splipstream with the gold version

How about slip streaming a Media Center Edition or Tablet Pc Edition.

I was able to get a slip stream install to take a leaked Tablet Pc Edition Product key but I did not go through with the installation because it was my friends computer and he didnt want it.

I used a retail XP pro cd

Service pack 2 network download

and a non Tablet Pc desktop computer

And for the Record I do own both a Media Center PC and a Tablet PC

It's a great Tutorial.. ;)

I never said you cant slipstream sp2 on a winxp cd with sp1 already slipstreamed. i just said i recommend not doing it. plus if you have the 30 minutes to make a new cd u may as well make a fresh copy with sp2 on winxp as sp2 containts all of sp1 files anyway.

There are no posts below...

Sorry I meant the above post. Anywhere thats the quote I was talking about. It says which two files to remove and try again.

This maintenance-focused release includes bug fixes, updated translations, and a range of safe enhancements. This release fixes a Windows security issue that could allow arbitrary file deletion during privileged cleaning (reported by Zeze with TeamT5). It also adds new cleaners (including a DNS cache cleaner, Claude Code, and Visual Studio Code forks), support for multiple Chrome and Edge profiles, new deep scan options for developer directories like node_modules and venv, and safer, faster file shredding. All Platforms Added cleaners for Claude Code, DNS cache, and many Visual Studio Code forks. Added support for multiple Chrome and Edge profiles. Chrome can now clean downloaded AI models. Deep Scan can optionally remove venv, __pycache__, node_modules, and .angular directories. Deep Scan is faster by skipping directories on the keep list. File shredding is safer, faster, and leaves fewer recoverable traces. Improved handling of cookies, symlinks, Unicode filenames, external processes, and configuration files. Improved Expert Mode warnings and long warning dialogs. Fixed crashes related to cleaner detection, invalid Unicode, and malformed cleaner data. Clipboard is now cleared automatically after shredding files via paste operations. Linux Added AppImage support. Added cleaners for Visual Studio Code, Codeium, Librewolf (.deb), Transmission (Flatpak), and Profanity. Improved Linux trash detection, including Snap-installed applications and mounted drives. Fixed Wayland root CLI issues and several Snap-related problems. Improved package dependencies, AppStream metadata, and desktop file handling. Fixed startup crashes when Python Requests is unavailable. Windows Fixed a security vulnerability that could allow arbitrary file deletion when cleaning with elevated privileges. Added %WindowsSystem% variable support. Improved clipboard clearing using native Windows APIs. Improved installer experience on unsupported Windows versions. Reduced installer size and improved application robustness. Fixed Unicode handling, filename anonymization, Git revision reporting, and splash screen stability. • DriversCloud 12.1.6 by Razvan Serea With DriversCloud (formerly My-Config.com), you can explore your computer easily, safely and free. The application quickly scans your PC and identifies the hardware and software components. DriversCloud then establishes a list of the different drivers compatible with your OS and hardware. Download the drivers needed for the proper functioning of your computer. To detect your drivers, DriversCloud also displays a detailed summary of your hardware and software configuration, analyzes your BSOD, monitors in real-time your PC voltages and temperatures and lets you share your configuration online. Once the hardware components have been detected, you will be able to obtain with just a few clicks the latest drivers corresponding to the identified hardware. You can record your configuration on the site for free, and can get the corresponding URL to post the configuration to technical forums, e-mail and social networks. You can also download the detection result (the configuration) as a PDF file. To protect the user's privacy and data confidentiality, a 4-level confidentiality system was created that filters the XML marks and gives control to the user. The default level can be modified in the preferences. Using the maximum level will prevent the user from publishing his configuration and generating a corresponding PDF file. In non-connected mode, each XML configuration is stored on the server for one day (for practical reasons). However, you are given the opportunity to manually delete it. Created in 2004, and continually improved, My-Config.com has established itself on the web as a free service to PC users running Windows and Linux operating systems. The service is designed to work with the most common Internet browsers (Edge, Firefox, Chrome, Safari).
