Anyone got an idea about the border?

If you have a program such as photoshop, and use the eyedrop feature to figure out the RGB value of the sky where you keep your list, you will be able to get a close match, although the color will still overlap the part that goes over the building. You could make your list shorter so that it doesnt touch the building and just stays over the sky. Your image background is also not perfect, as I can see that its off by the tiniest best. Personally, I think your best best is to not use the flat plug-in but the tweakui plugin, shorten your list a bit so that it doesnt go over the building part, and figure out what the sky color is for the list background (this color is right around all the contact items so its important that its close to the color the list is over or it will look pixelated and nasty), and have the transparency effect that way. Not perfect, but as close as it's going to get for now.

I'm sorry that there is no better solution, but if you look at all the screenshots where people have transparent miranda lists, you will see that the list placement is carefully chosen, and the border and/or list background is carefully chosen to match the background as close as possible. Every time we change our wallpaper, we have to move/recolor miranda to match. Some wallpapers are impossible to use because the transparency effect while effective itself, causes artifacts around the contacts that look terrible and pixelated.

My guess is that they're just some forum topic titles

They are all RSS feeds from: 1) www.Aqua-Soft.org 2) www.mpcforum.com 3) www.bbc.com

As for the border problem:

Go the the Miranda website. Go to the plugins section. Download "tweakui". Install, restart, etc. Get it set up.

You have that border? Main Menu > Options > Plugins > Tweak UI > you will see all the border options, unsurprisingly you should select "No border"

    • No. Windows 8 had little to no spywhare, is actually faster than 7 but it has the dreaded start screen, nothing that you could not fix with start8. Windows ME crashed often, but was shotlived and replaced by XP, which is a much better windows in itself.
    • Windows 8 was uninspiring but it was fine / worked. It was just overshadowed by how great Windows 7 was. Windows ME seem to be just unstable for most people - I was using Windows 2000, which was far superior. The two best versions are Windows 7 and 2000
    • I don't think ME was that bad. The stability issues were mostly caused by drivers. This was when the switch from vxd to wdm was happening. The other complaint was not being able to shut down into DOS anymore which was silly with XP right around the corner.
    • As much as I hated Windows 8, although I never used it personally on any of my own machines, I think Windows Me was hands down the worst OS from MS. I have Windows 11 on 2 unsupported machines and haven't had any issues and I actually kind of like it. Still hate how slow Windows updates are though.
    • Why do you think they whol industry would be done? Agree a lot has shifted around the launch with devs moving their dates to avoid the timeframe around the launch. But if this fails, it'll be talked about, analysed, Rockstar will likely be ridiculed but people will move on. Others devs might be more cautious about these large games but I don't think one game will change the entire industry
