to be honest loading the full photo "again" isn't really a huge deal, since it basically uses the same file source its one download only.

if you put up a second - a smaller version its not the same file so it gets downloaded either...

whats the result?

instead of say...

50KB pic (big one and twice) -> download -> 50KB

its like this:

50KB pic (big one) + 20KB pic (small one) -> download -> 70KB
