what apple said about my ipod...

Recommended Posts

ok, I can't retain a charge for more than 4 days (after being fully charged) but apple won't do **** unless you fail the straight play test (4hours...mine gets 5 1/2) but I mean, if I use it for an hour one day, and go to turn it on the next, my ipod is dead...shouldn't they do SOMETHING about that? Just wondering if I should escalate it, and get a manager on the phone, and demand repair/replacement (I am supposed to be purchasing around 14,000 can dollars worth of apple products in the next 6 months for a business startup...maybe threaten that...?)

I dunno what to do really...anyone had an experience similar to this? Any ideas?

Thanks!

Haha, well must be different in this country.

My email to Apple consisted of me telling them 2 things:

Battery meter doesn't correspond with time remaining

Battery time isn't 8 hours as stated.

That was on Monday, UPS came that day, picked it up and shipped it to Holland. I had a brand new iPod on Thursday.

wow really? perhaps it was the 'ipod representative' that I got....I will try calling again tomorrow...

ps. how long ago was this?

Definitely worth it. I also got a remote replacement overnight. Rang up in the morning, said the remote was faulty and I had a new one the next day.

Edit, remote was around 4 weeks ago, ipod was around 3.

alright, thanks for the help bud; did you just email them on the support website where you request a service call? and did you threaten to not like apple ever again!? :p

/edit: did they send the same model?

Both times I went through:

http://depot.info.apple.com/ipod/

And I had an email reply instantly.

Edit, yeah the sent the same model, 3G. There was part of me wishing the 4G came in the post :D but the rest of me was telling that part to shut the hell up and stop dreaming :D

Oh my god that was fast. :woot: I never had to deal with Apple repair but I hope they are fast here in the U.S. too (I assume that you are in U.K.)

P.S: How old is your iPod, Unique?

is there anyway you can email me what you sent them? So I can get a taste for what get's them into "appease customer mode" ... [email protected]

if you don't want to/don't have a copy, no worries, just thought I would get all the help in my corner as possible!

Thanks again for the help man!

I don't have a copy, but from what I can remember just try to be as specific as possible, and if in doubt add some funky ****. I added that it would randomly change tracks and would skip when playing lossless files. And be polite :p

hahaha, awesome...I will do that up in the next day or so....last question...do you think I should call them...then send my e-mail via the depot? Or just depot it up?

getting the following error when trying to log on to submit my problem online...

"we're sorry!

6. Your request could not be completed. Please retry your request. We apologize for the inconvenience."

    • On xiaomi hyperos there's also an option to disable google assistant. I've got everything disabled. Only thing I do have installed is a web wrapped for duck.ai which claims to let you use various AIs anonymously
    • I need to understand the rationale of not shipping all of these K2 improvements in a single update/release. It's giving "we will fix Windows 11 but no commitments". It seems to me that they just announce these improvements just to appease the community.
    • The term "RTM" is long gone starting with Windows 10. Every current release is a GA build. This is the result of MS making Windows as a Service (WaaS).
    • Looks like no official TBW rating, which should be a required listing in my opinion for sites like Amazon (hell, put it on the box too.)
