Hi, I have a rather new computer (check sig for details), but I think it?s a bit slow sometimes, and I believe it can run some games smoother.

I?m wondering if this has anything to do with mrunning processesb>. I?ve attached a screen of my task Manager, I?d be very glad if you guys could have a look at it:); :)

Thanks in advance[EDITED]:I?m running Windows XP Professional with SP2.

This is what I would do;

Get rid of the following via msconfig:

msnmsgr.exe - Run it manually

type32.exe - Unless you use the extra buttons on your keyboard to do something other then their default action.

itunes.exe - Run it manually

symwsc.exe - Unless you know what this is, get rid of it. (might actually be some Norton thing)

Get rid of the following via services.msc

wdfmgr.exe - Some stupid WMP10 crap.

But most of the slow down is probably coming from Norton, personally I would disable it... but that's just me.

SymWSC = Symantec Windows Security Center. Basically it provides support and status to the Windows Security Center. I had mine disabled (both of them) cos I don't like them 'talking' to each other on how my system should be configured, haha... ;)
