Free Web Hosting

hey,

looking for a free web host that offers more then the 5mb my isp gives. no ads and reliable for general use.

i spent some time looking around but everything decent that i came accross had some kind of a catch (ads/use of forums/acceptence through application, no media files, etc)

if theres already a guide or previous posts about this topic let me know as well.

Well, as far as I know, all free services that I have ever come across either have ads or some form of catch.

if a website is worth putting up it should be worth paying 3 bucks a month to have. Free hosts suck, you get what you pay for, you can collect enough bottles and cans a month to pay for hosting.

Yeah! Shyper offers lot of features (PHP, MySQL, 10 GB transfer,etc.) and it seems pretty good. I'm currently using 50Free which is good as well, though there have been some downtimes lately due to the hurricanes (their servers are located in Florida).

Some features they are offering for free:

100 MB disk space

1 GB transfer

PHP Support

1 MySQL database

Safe Mode off

U can also add your own domain. :laugh:

i'm using that too and it's quite nice. you can use ur own domain too.
