Day of Defeat: Source

Recommended Posts

Considering HL2 RC has been sent to VU to go gold soon and their was no indication of DOD:S's status in with the announcement and Gabe's confirmation, I would say DOD:S will be done a month or two from now after HL2's release. However, if you can provide any concrete evidence that its done and was sent with the HL2 RC to go gold please do so.

There is no indication of a release any time soon. Waldo and all the others on the DoD forums are working away hard at porting the game to the Source engine.

Well since you seem to think that there is no proof of DoD source ported, read this.

DoD:Source Q&A

All your questions answered.

"That is the plan. It is more a question of how many bells and whistles they add than whether it will be done in time."

Just like they planned on a release of HL2 last year right?Like I said, if it was done they would have said so when Gabe said HL2 was sent to Vivendi. If you can't provide anymore info then that, I'm sorry, but your probably wrong. And to your question, my problem is with people who just assume things and post their opinions as facts. :D

uh, kairon, do you listen?

dont argue with varsity, he did not state this as a fact, he merely stated what valve had said in the past. heres a post of his to refresh your memory:

All I said was that we'd been told it would ship with HL2.

Theres a large thread going on on www.dayofdefeat.com about the source version, basically the devs asked what we would like to see it in.

I highly doubt it will come out with HL2 but then again, if this game gets delayed again, it will lol.

We shall see. Please take your superiority complex elsewhere as I do not want to continue this discussion here on the board so I don't risk getting warned all because of a troll. It would be nice if it came with HL2 but those FAQs are probably not up to date and have been there since many months ago and things have changed since then but we will just have to see. Thanks :)

Well Mr. Feels-like-he-has-to-defend-himself pants, the Q&A is the Q&A, not a FAQ. And besides that it's been said that they playtested it. With that said if it's as old as you say it is, imagine where they are right now. :p

    • Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8, Flip 8, Z Fold Wide: Everything you need to know The ONLY thing I need to know is the price, which I know will be way higher than I (and most people) are willing to pay for a phone... so basically nothing here I need to know. PS: Nice job getting that Apple reference to a non-existent and unrevealed product as "competition" in there. Cheque is in the mail.
