Uxtheme Multipatcher 2.5 is not working

Hi. Uxtheme doesnt seem to be working when I try to patch it.. I don't know whats wrong. Any ideas???

Ya, I ran the program after replacing my old dll, and it never popped up the File Protection Message I was told to wait for... I was more impressed with v2.0 than this one, at least it worked.

*edit* for those of you who were using StyleXP and have upgraded to XP SP2, TGTSoft has an update installer that allows SXP to run on any version of SP2. I just tried it, and given the fact that SXP has an option to use no system resources at all, I'd much prefer to stick to it as opposed to some other program... no offense to Vorte[X] and everyone behind the patcher. But the only reason I used 2.0 in the first place was because SXP failed to work when I first upgraded to SP2 RC2.

Nope It didnt work here either I rebooted and nope still wouldnt have it thats on

So I did it manually and i got a error in replacer but it still worked fine :)

Replacer or actually doing it manually, by renaming files which i find best.

If the multipatcher of course doesnt work, use the methods already mentioned above. Is good as you will then be able to troubleshoot it yourself withiout using a patcher.

Also you get to give yourself pats on the back.

It didnt work for me either, so I used xplite to disable the windows file protection, reran the multitheme patch and voila.

sorry for not being clear... i applied the patch didnt get a file protection thing i was supposed to get .. waited.. waited.. clicked ok cuz i was bored.. rebooted... and nothing happened... still can't get my theme on my computer... AHH... funny thing is since i have reformatted 4 - 5 times in a few years.. uxtheme has worked brilliantly about 3/5 times.. and 2 other times it failed miserably.. no idea!

did you get the final version of sp2? yes? that's 2180. the one's posted are for 2180.

after reading that link, i realized that the build i have is indeed the 2180 release... the 2158 just represents the timestamp. i used the english version of the 2900 build of sp2, and the replacer, and it worked fine, thanks for the help :)

read the posted thread. 2158 is the compile time, not the build #. it's 2180. i've used it, and it works.

ill help dreamz so he's not the only one that has to explain this... 2158 is the timestamp of when the build was completed... so something w/ a timestamp of 2158 and date stamp of 040803 is 2180
