Made to look like they are indented into the desktop, trapped a glass bubble. The icons adapt to whatever background they are on due to the transparency, so hopefully they should work on any desktop.

I'll be back on Neowin as soon as my ISP problem gets sorted, I'm at college at the moment, so sojumk, I don't think I'm too "kewl" for this forum ;) :p I never left Neowin...

Hey, especially love the trash icons. What about making instead of a sunken bubble, just a sunken 3d looking hole. Empty could just be an empty hole in the desktop, and when it's full it could be piling over or just look like it's got some stuff in there.

I think it'd look pretty sweet, but what do I know :p

ie: use the default XP pics in the dent for "My Pictures", "My Computer" etc...

To be honest, I get bored once I've initially created something. I've made over 50 of these icons and I'm bored now. I'm moving on to something different.

For those of you that want to make your own dent icons, download this template and you can then make your own.

The template has a layer which is simply a red circle, I only used this layer for getting the right shape for some of the icons. You have to delete this when you merge layers otherwise the icon will not come out right!

Feel free to post some of you icons on this thread, I'd like to see what some of you are doing with it. :)
