hey...

well before i read the bootscreen topic for sp2

i tried to put bootscreen in the old way...

i just downloaded some boot and replaced it with the ntokrnl.exe in system32

like i used to do.

ofcurse it didnt worked but the problem was that when i did reset it stared to load the boot

and then stoped and said the file ntfs.sys in \system32\driver is missing or currpted

anyhow i got into windows restore and renamed the old ntokrnl.exe to the old one and it worked fine

now i still want to change and i dont know how

the is any simple way

i just want nice AMD boot screen =D

thx.

You must have NTFS, that's why program prompt you (first time you run it) to add this extra choise when booting. Is an easy and 100% safe way to use custom boot screens with NTFS. In case of problems, just reboot and select the "Original" OS.

A tip: Open file c:\boot.ini at notepad. Change the line ?timeout=30? to ?timeout=2? (or ?timeout=1?) and windows will wait 2 (or 1) seconds before automatically select the first choice from the list when booting.

Now, if you still want to remove the one choise you can goto dialog Help - "Show dialog for NTFS...". There select the line you want and hit the Delete button.
