First Halflife 2 review score appears...

Recommended Posts

This according to halflife2.net. A trusty forum memeber posts that the game got a score of... 96 in PC GAMER UK that should come out next month (tomorrow :)). It's also apperantly the second or third game to recieve that high a score on the magazine, the other one being... Halflife 1 :)

This game better not suck. I don't trust magazine reviews ever since the Unreal 2 incident with PC Zone :D

Heh...Don't even mention the Driv3r fiasco.. :shifty:

Oops..just did :pinch:

If I am not confused, which happens often, PC Gamer had an exclusive on Doom3 and gave it a 98% I believe. While I agree the games techincal prowess is as of yet unmatched, the game play of the game fell well short of 60%. It was mundane and repetive at best, and a total bore at worst. I hope this is not the case, but if you go PCGamer's track record of reviews, HL2 will look good and play bad. Like I said I really hope this is not the case

i agree...i spent $40 on the game, and still haven't finished it, mostly because when i load it, i stare at the screen thinking, "Do I REALLY want to play Doom3...or FarCry (which I have finished and started again)?"

ripped :ninja:

This game looks fantastic. But maybe thats my fanboyism for Half Life shining through.

    • Honestly... 4 wasn't fun, 5 had unlikeable, annoying, or dull characters... Yeah, to me the magic died with San Andreas.
