Thanks L3thal (Y) You have a VERY SOLID team there yourself. I was looking at your players individual points and WOW.

I remembered today that the draft was last night, and I was all worried I got screwed, but I did make out okay and cant complain at all. I don't think I would have been all that much better off if I was there for the draft, which makes me question how good it really works.

I guess taking the time when I first signed up to put the default players in a order that I wanted them actually did pay off, which I was also questioning if it would do anything at all. Although I don't remember my exact list, alot of my players I have on my team were definitely higher up on that list.

I checked out everyone's teams though and it is going to be a really good league I think.

Quick Question For Anyone - On the overview page for our league, does anyone know what the # means by our teams name under Waiver?? This is my first fantasy league ever, so please bear with me if I am asking stupid questions, but I could not find an answer anywhere. all I saw was something about Waiver Time being 2 days.

I believe this is what the number under wavier is used for...

"If more than one team claims the same player, the team that is highest on the Waiver Priority List is given the rights to the player. The priority list is initially set based on the reverse of the draft order. However, each time you add a waived player to your roster, you are pushed to the back of the list. This "rolling" list stays in effect for the entire season."

In addition, you should probably look at the scoring system that will be used in this league. Not exactly the normal head-to-head style. Instead, we will be using the Rotisserie Scoring System.

"In a Rotisserie League, fantasy teams are ranked from first to last in each of several statistical categories. Points are then awarded according to the order of finish in each category and are totaled to determine an overall score and place."

Oh yeah...Could a Mod change the thread title to Neowin Fanasty Basketball League :p

  • 3 weeks later...

Just a quick question to all of you guys who are constantly holding down the top spots, which btw congrats on doing so (Y).

Are you going in every day and changing your rosters accordingly for that nights and/or the next days games?

Like I have said, I have never done a Fantasy league before, and seeing I went from Spot# 9 to Spot #3 down to #8 again, I am thinking that there has to be something more involved that what i currently understand. I am starting to graps everything though because my drop had alot to do with the fact ony 4 of my 13 players were in games last night actually.

The reason I ask is, Upon further investigation, I see that on my player roster for tonights games, one of my Ulitilty Players was not playing tonight, and One of my Bench players was, so I swapped them out accordingly for tonight. I now take it this a good way to proceed for the rest of the season?

TIA,

DL

lolz...That happened to me too only cause on Thrusday one person from my whole line-up was playing. I was in 3rd and now 5th (N). For my team, I usually set the next week whole roster in advance and then make small changes as needed.

About the scoring categories. It was very limited in what you put. The Yahoo! default scoring categories were even worst as it had less categories than what we have right now. Now would be too late to change the categories as the season has already started.

The Public Yahoo Leagues only have these scoring catergories:

FG% FT% 3PTM PTS REB AST ST BLK TO

Verus our League:

FGM, FG%, FTM, FT%, 3PTM, PTS, OREB, DREB, REB, AST, ST, BLK, TO, A/T

On Thursday, none of my players were scheduled to play

Change your lineup at least two days ahead of schedule, just in case you forget or can't change them.

I usually do mine every day or if I know I can't get to a computer, I'll do them 2-3 days in advance. This is like my 4th season now and I've done pretty well every year...until I start missing games. Just be careful of going over the maximum games...that's my only complain in doing these things, I think it's a dumb thing to have to worry about.

By the way, you can find me in the league as the BIG ticket.

    • DXVK generally performs better on Linux (using Wine/Proton) than on Windows. Because Linux utilizes highly optimized, open-source Vulkan drivers (like RADV/ACO) that were specifically built for AMD Radeon hardware, the translation of Direct3D 9/11 to Vulkan is highly efficient. But if you take the trouble to watch my video, you can see that there are also advantages for Nvidia users. You see that I run Assassin's Creed Odyssey on 4GB RAM and on an i3-3240. What do you think are the minimum system requirements for windows11? For CPU-based rendering, Linux is generally faster than windows11 by about 15% due to lighter background overhead and efficient kernel scheduling.
