UKer
Hmm well i already have apache + mysql + php on my other compuiter, but learning C++ would be nice although i can never find a good guide. Can someone post a link to a guide or to the name of a book that is really good in teaching C++. I'de recommend OReilly C++ in a Nutshell, or if you've no clue about programming at all Wiley C++ for Dummies. SAMS C++ Unleashed is also a good book, personally I use all three for different things. MrA
How about recompiling your system, maually. That is, take each component of your system, starting from glibc and recompiling it by going through the ./configure && make && make install process. It'll take a while, but it's something to do. IvIoyner
Set up another machine, and have fun using MPD ( http://www.musicpd.org/ ) together with clients to control your stereo from anywhere in the building, as long as you have access to a windows/linux-enviroment or a webbrowser. Or, emerge random stuff and see what they do. With thousands of packages in portage, you can keep on going for quite some time.
