[BBC] Spooks

New series starts around September 17th/18th.

Reason for my vagueness is that the BBC originally said the 16th, then said September 2006. Now they have the second episode down for the 18th. So in my opinion it would only be fitting for the other episode to be on the previous day.

From the Spooks web-site, the first episode is a 2 parter on Sunday 17th and Monday 18th September.

Apparently because "spooks" usually refers to the CIA in the US. I think I read that on wikipedia.......

yep, can't wait. I had to watch the last 2 episodes repeated on BBC3 a few days ago just to remind me what happened in series 4 lol, cos it had been so long I had forgotten.

Just wow, i was gripped from start to finish, was going to wait till tomorrow but im gonna catch the next one on BBC3 in 15 mins, it was awesome.

The first 10mins or so weren't as good as I'd expected but apart from that the rest was really good. I've put the next episode of BBC3 down to tape - so I will be watching it in the morning.

I watched the next episode on BBC3 and it was a good ending (Y), again shame about Colin being killed off at the start of the series.

I didn't like it that much actually. It was a bit over the top in my opinion - Spooks seems to have turned into a "lets-kill-as-many-people-as-possible-in-an-episode" sort of thing :(

I don't think it is too over the top, what happened is easily possible, just think of the laws passed and what events have happened since 9/11 and 7/7.

yer thats what i like about spooks, it has a good habit of paralleling real life situations and does actually make you think about things for a second!

that pair of episodes was brilliant - great for spooks proving that it can create as much tension as 24 is renowned for without having too many themes copied off it; plus the two parter episode meant it didnt feel rushed
