[BBC] Spooks

Recommended Posts

Damn, it was a good start to the series :o

I genuinely thought Ruth was going to die at the end just before Lucas arrived :o It's sad that Malcolm decided to retire from the service, after saving the child though I can understand why :(

The kitchen scene with the two of them was done really well, it sucks about his dad getting shot, how Ruth will cope now - especially around Harry.

I'm sensing Tom and the CIA liaison relationship all over again with Lucas :p Now to wait till Friday for the second episode on BBC3.

Radish?

What an ep! Had me on the edge of my seat. 8 seasons and Spooks is still going strong. Can't wait for next week. I feel really sad for Ruth though. Any feelings she had for Harry will have become loathing now I reckon.

I wonder if there's any chance of getting Tom back for an ep or 2, that would be epic.

Cracking episode, backstabbing all over the place and LOL @ Tazbekistan

Looks like Harry is somewhat out of the doghouse with Ruth, hope she comes back as one of the team (Y) Not sure yet about Malcolm's replacement, Tariq.

It's a shame Jo didn't take her dress off :( :shifty: And it is really Tom and Christine all over again with Lucas and the CIA liaison.

Next episode is looking awesome with Ros trapped and CO19 coming in :D

Radish?

Anyone catch tonight's episode on BBC3? Nice cat & mouse games between the MI5/CIA, especially with Sarah's treachery now rearing it's head :hmmm:

I thought another cast member was going to die at the end, we don't need that again :p

What did people think of the finale?

Plus I think that Ros and the Home Secretary are definitely alive, the Explosion only took out that corner of the building and the rest was untouched! Ros easily dragged him to the other side of the building ... that scene was so bullsh*t and over done there was no way that she struggled to move him that much

That was the first episode of spooks I've ever watched, there were bits in it that were very similar to 24. Do they always do the split screens? and what about the nerve agent scene, just like the scene in 24 where the presidents husband gets the same treatment. The only other bit I have to nit pick at was the kinda pants explosion at the end.

Was a bit of a let down:

After looking at the final scene cause i recorded it on my DVR the bomb only took out floors 1-4, the american cia european liason guy said that the president and the home secratary were on floor five and since ros couldnt drag him very far im guessing they are still unhurt on floor 5 since the bomb only took out the first 4 floor windows.

Just finished watching it now and I agree with you (then again, the floor could collapse from the blast), not as good as previous cliffhangers I've seen in Spooks :/

Glad Harry was somewhat away from it, he's needed for the next series :D

Laila Rouass will appear in the next season of Spooks.

The former Footballers' Wives star and Strictly Come Dancing contestant will join the cast of the BBC One show when it returns in the autumn.

Sophia Myles, who has starred in Doctor Who, and Mistresses actor Max Brown are also lined up to appear in the ninth series of the programme.

However, the BBC's Sarah Brandist refused to reveal details of the new cast members' storylines.

"The new additions will really ruffle some feathers," she said. "But we don't want to give too much away as intrigue and betrayal are at the heart of the storylines."

Earlier this year, the BBC denied rumours that Spooks was about to be axed.

Spoiler Alert!

Spooks actor Richard Armitage has confirmed that Hermione Norris will not return as Ros Myers for the show's upcoming ninth series.

Speaking to The Mirror, Armitage revealed that the programme's cast miss the actress while filming on set.

"We really miss Hermione," he admitted. "She was a very calming influence and I loved her humour."

The actor, who plays Lucas North, also confessed that he is unsure of his own future with the show.

He explained: "I?ve said to the producers, ?Over to you. You decide?. If that means sending Lucas to Manchester or severing his head, I don?t know. Or I could end up in the deep fat fryer. They?d owe me a brilliant exit."

Armitage also promised that the true nature of his character will finally be revealed.

"Basically, Lucas isn?t who you think he is. It?s always been hovering there, whether or not he?s a double agent," he said.

The ninth series of Spooks is due to air in the autumn.

    • RevPDF 4.5.0 by Razvan Serea RevPDF is a free, fully offline PDF editor for Windows, macOS, and Linux that lets you edit text and images directly inside PDF files — no internet connection, no account, and no cloud uploads required. Unlike bloated alternatives that demand subscriptions and constant connectivity, RevPDF fits in under 60MB on desktop while delivering a complete editing toolkit: annotate, redact, sign, compress, split, merge, convert, and reorganize pages, all processed locally on your device. Smart font matching ensures edited text blends seamlessly with the original, and multi-language support includes RTL scripts such as Arabic and Hebrew. Where most PDF editors force you to choose between features and simplicity, RevPDF manages both. You can build interactive forms from scratch with text fields, checkboxes, and dropdowns, permanently redact sensitive data before sharing, draw freehand on contracts and diagrams, and add custom watermarks — all without a single file leaving your machine. Edit Text and Images Directly Inside PDFs RevPDF supports true inline PDF editing — not just annotation layers on top of a document, but actual modification of existing text and images within the file. A smart font-matching engine identifies the font used in the original document and applies it automatically when you make edits, so changes blend naturally with the surrounding content. You can reposition elements, resize images, and update text across single pages or entire documents. RevPDF 4.5.0 release notes: This is one of the biggest updates to RevPDF yet. A lot of things people have been asking for are finally here. New Features Auto Redaction Permanently redact sensitive text and areas from your PDFs before sharing. Perfect for scanned books or double-page spreads. New Drawing Tools More tools for freehand drawing and markup, better for annotations, sketches, and detailed notes. Continuous Scrolling in Editor The editor now scrolls continuously through pages instead of jumping between them. Working through long documents is a lot smoother now. Better Font Matching Text edits now blend in more naturally by doing a better job of matching the original font. • Interesting. I'm not using a VPN with my phone. I tried though my home internet (Rogers) and my cellular internet (Telus) using their respective DNS servers and both trigger the dialog above.
