Just to clean up a bit :)

Well, I have a science fair project, but I can't find any info. on it.

Therefore, I need a new one.

I like computers, I'm in 8th grade, and I'm 13 years old.

Any ideas would be great. Also, the project must be inexpensive.

Hmmm. How about formulate a chemical that quickly and efficiently kills ants.

Or, regarding computers, you could overclock your CPU and make a little display that details the difference in benchmark scores between OC and default.

I like the formulate a chemical that quickly and efficiently kills ants but I don't have a science lab  , plus I don't want to blow up my house. :woot:

well I have compaq and I guess compaq's don't let you every clock and I don't think I'll have funds to by a new cpu and I don't think I can find any one to donate a use computer.

You can allways grow a civilization from your teeth Lisa Simpson Style...

or  you can levitate things usic eloctromagnets, or a Solar Powered car (miniature of course)

Those are easy ones

I like the solar power car, but would my topic be something like how does solar energy work? And how long?

If you want to do the chemical to kill the ants, you don't need a science lab or highly unstable compounds. It's up to you to experiment.

Start with vinegar. Think of household chemicals that wouldn't be fun if put in your eyes. Ant's are smaller than your eye, so those chemicals can't be good for them. Once you've concocted your ant death spray, write a recipe for your science fair, put it on a big poster board with pics of dead, soaked ants. Now that I'm thinking, it can't be easy to find ants this time of year. Ha.

I thanks for clearing that up.

Where you from?

Im from cleveland, Ohiio, USA

It fall and there's not to many ants know

Well how solar panels work coud be a nice topic.. the title could be "Do you know why Einstein Won Physics Nobel Prize" You see Einstein won the nobel prize for his theory of Photoelectric effect, not for Relativity Theory.... And you can point the bennefits of clean power straight from the sun, and other uses of phtoelectric effect, like the sensors on elevators that prevent people get smashed by the doors, or Digital cameras.. and such

I made one in long time ago, well it was a lame attempt of a solar powerd car but it was a budget project and it worked nicely, I will post a photo for you later (My camera battery is exhausted)

Make an 8-bit calculator out of transistors!

But that turned out to be pretty hard... and it didn't work in the end =(

Yeah designing an ALU only usoing simple transistor is difficult, I also tried to make using only TTL ICs when i was @ highscool but it only added and sutracted and it was only 4 bit. Now Using GALs symplifies things a lot, I can't wait to be in the next semester so I can see Microprossesors :D

same sitch but i got a project on CDs and th unit is on 'optics'

    • From the incredibly asinine idea of disposable AI datacenter satellites launching into low Earth orbit to building out yet another unnecessary mobile network, this con-man will do ANYTHING to scam investor suckers and get his stock prices up. This stinks of panic to me. Good.

    • And they say Brits are better educated than Americans. Seriously, mate, the American Empire built the Industrial Revolution -- specifically via the transport and exploitation of oil. Not the UK. Whereas, the British Empire was built for centuries on the oceanic "spice trade" -- which "coincidentally" overlapped all of the places where Opium was grown, aka the world's only surgical grade anesthetic for ten thousand years. The British Empire was the first seagoing UPS (and even local dealer) of the Old World. For what it's worth, all mining, processing, manufacturing, and distribution are becoming robotic in the near future. And it will then make sense for everything to be manufactured (by robots) on the continent where those products will be sold. So, while no humans will be involved, manufacturing will become local again one day. PS Trump is a lying, fascist, ignorant, crooked, idiot **** who fearmongers the same racist, misogynist cowardly ###### used by charlatans, Nazis, and con-men going back tens of thousands of years. It's never been true.
