Well, I've gone and done it again.

I've succumb (spell?) to my technological greed again.

I went and got an S700. Seeing as the price is high, I dont expect alot of people to be buying it.

It's an S700i(a). What you say? How can it be an I AND an A? it's international arabic edition :p

S700i is the european version that supports the GSM 900/1800/1900 bands, and has GPRS class 10 support.

S710a is the US version that supports the GSM 850/1800/1900 bands, and has EDGE support (way faster than GPRS class 10).

Other than that, they are the exact same phones.

EDIT:

Would be nice with a few pictures taken with the phone itself, WITHOUT the digital-zoom (digital zoom seriously makes the images crappy quality!)

The 10 used to stand for Chinese phones, but the chinese version is called 700c'

The arabic edition is 700i(a)

bidz you're right. Checked the forums quick. It was 700a, now 710a since it is now launched with a firmware update, I'm assuming the EDGE?

here's a pic of the screen to show how it can handle flourecent(spell?) lighting.

Now here is a MAJOR thing that I am ****ed about. Video playback CANNOT be played full screen... why did they do this?

Another thing, (which is a tendancy with SE) is that their definition of white is darker than usual. The 7610 is MUCH whiter (i mean screen not pictures)

Also, I LOVE the animated themes and backgrounds, makes things look hi-tech. (it's the little things you know?)

edit: it's 1.3 megapixels but the color balance seems to nudge it passed that quality.

The phone to be honest, doesn't feel chunky. It feels great in the hand.
